We will stay there again

Our room was very nice and clean. The service was very good. We stayed there for two nights, and sfter the frist night housekeeping came in and cleaned our room, so that it was nice and clean for the next night. The continental breakfast was not that great. They needed more of a variety other then toast, donuts and some cereal. Maybe try for a waffel iron and have hot waffels for your guests. Other then that the room and the stay were very nice.

Just the Basics

In anticipation of a snowstorm, my company put me up at Red Roof in Down the street from our company headquarters, as our branch is 2 hours away in another townl. At first there was a mixup over the reservations, but that was quickly resolved. The Room was clean, quiet, and the beds were comfortable (for hotel beds). The continental breakfast was not my cup of tea, consisting of bagels, cereal, doughnuts, but no belgian waffles (oh well). Luckily there is a nice Country Kitchen a block away that offers a great breakfast buffet for six dollars. The hotel has all sorts of things nearby, and a short drive down NE 14th will bring you to other local conveniences (grocery, dollar store, hardware, auto parts, gas stations). It's also a good location to get to the Capital Building, the State Fair Grounds, and lots of shopping- which I didn't get to partake of on this trip:-(. The hotel isn't anything to write home about, but it's got your basics, and for the rate paid on the room, it was worth every penny!

Great Place!

A friend and I recently stayed at this hotel and we really enjoyed it. We found the room to be nice and clean. We didnt get time to swim but the pool area looked spacious and fun.
 
 
 
 
 
I'd rather sleep in my car!

This is one of the least desirable hotels I’ve stayed at. I should have guessed that the “pets allowed policy” was an indicator of the condition of the facility. Fortunately, we were there for only one night! We were greeted by a lobby filled with cigarette smoke. The front desk manager smokes, and had a cigarette burning in an ashtray most of the time. Our first room was across the hall from a room with at least two barking dogs. We asked to be moved and were given keys to a room that was occupied. Our third room reeked of some kind of deodorant to mask other odors. Even though we had a non-smoking room, smoke fumes came in under the door and mixed with the deodorizer to create a foul stench. The shower and curtain smelled of mildew. The morning we left, I confirmed that the same front desk manager was smoking up the lobby/breakfast area with her cigarettes. I can only recommend this place if you are a pet loving, noise tolerant smoker without sensitivity to mildew and overpowering deodorizers! Or as my wife says: “It’s nasty!”
