Never Again

Nice rooms, somewhat clean and quiet. Horrible management staff, they were very rude and many members in my group felt as if we were being discriminated against because of the way we look. The owner appeared to have absolutely no respect for women and would not even shake my hand, look me in the eye or introduce himself to me before shoving paperwork in my face and trying to charge me $250 for damages that did not even occur in any of our rooms. Once I refused to sign, since we had done nothing wrong, he threatened to double our fine and call the police. We waited for the police to arrive and tried to work out the issue, but were unsuccessful and were told we could take them to small claims court, which we figured wold be more trouble than its worth. We just ended up paying the $250, but I felt as if we were being scammed since neither the owner or assistant manager could give us a clear answer as to why we were being fined. They both told us different reasons and amount of money but somehow, eventually came up with and agreed on $250.
This was by far my worst hotel experience at a Best Western or any hotel, ever. Our group travels quite frequently and have stayed at several Best Westerns over the years. After this experience, we will be looking into other hotels. I'm sorry, but you have lost the business of my group. As soon as word spreads of how we were treated by the owner, several other groups just like ours that have been faithful Best Western customers, will be looking elsewhere to stay on our monthly trips.
I will be calling corporate office in the morning and making an official complaint. No one should ever be treated with the disrespect that we encountered at this Best Western.
