Just okay
My husband and I stayed in the Miranda room on a summer weekend in Stillwater. Upon arriving, we were greeted by our hostess with a small glass of wine and some tiny brownies - very nice, but just brownies. She offerred restaurant suggestions and even had menus on hand, but we already had reservations at the Bayport Cookery, where she had not been. The room was lovely and we enjoyed the whirlpool and tiny balcony. The proprietress left a small bottle of dessert wine from a local winery, which we also enjoyed.
Most of our experience was fine, but there were three drawbacks: 1) The shower was tiny and had some black mold growing in it -- this was unacceptable; 2) The "gourmet" breakfast was a dollop of yogurt on some fruit, a tiny piece of egg casserole (not even quiche), and some coffee and juice -- hardly gourmet, and hardly breakfast; 3) we paid the weekend B&B rate for a room with a gross shower and a tiny breakfast that was, again, definitely not the advertised "gourmet."
We did let the proprietress know that the shower was moldy, but she did/said nothing about it. All things considered, we will not be going back.
