I intend to go back
By Teresa, 7/2/06
This is my second visit to Sharm, but my first to Hotel Hilton Waterfalls which i found very peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful view overlooking the waterfall, the pools and the sea and well tended gardens. Nothing nicer than going down to the jetty at 7.30am for a swim/snorkel before breakfast and again at the end of the afternoon before dinner. There is also a terrace overlooking the sea where you can spend the evening relaxing with a cocktail and shisha pipe, with a sky full of stars. There is a disco, other bars and restaurants. I was on a half board basis and found the food in the main restaurant very good. The staff were extremely cheerful, helpful and understanding, particularly when my suitcases were left behind in Cairo for 3 days. The fault of the airline I flew with, not the tour company. For me the hotel is ideally placed with Naama Bay about 20 mins away. There is a shuttle bus layed on by the hotel or you can opt for a taxi. There is also another fun area within walking distance of the hotel. Trips out of Sharm are easily organised either by the rep in the hotel or through your tour rep.

Never Again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/16/06
We have just returned from the Hilton Waterfalls after a 2 week holiday 14.05.06 Upon booking, everything about this hotel looked superb.. the facilities, swimming pools, location all looked great. We booked a seaview room and upon arrival, indeed, had a spectacular view of the red sea and coastline. It did not take long though for us to realise that we had in fact booked into a mainly all inclusive hotel (not available for UK residents) and we had no intention of staying at an all inclusive resort hotel. The hotel was packed with mainly Russian families, again, we did not want a family orientated hotel. The first morning at breakfast explains why we did not want anything to do with all inclusive. At 9am there were no clean, laid tables, there was mess everywhere all over the restaurant, the staff were too busy chatting to each other rather than serving, tidying up and cleaning tables. This was the case for the whole 2 weeks, the main 'cascade' restaurant was a living nightmare, the restaurant supervisor could not have cared less. The 'beach' if you can call it that is a small gap in the cliff, packed daily, there are alternatives such as the cliff top for sunbathing but the Russians grab all the good sunbeds before anyone else is awake, often leaving their own towels etc on them overnight, another thing that the hotel does not put a stop to or seems to care about. There is a dreadful racket coming out of the beach bar for most of the day, loud music from a supposed DJ, all this under a sign for beach rules that states 'no loud music'! The noise blows all over the hotel. Then there was the food poisoning from the beach bar pizza that lasted 10 days of the holiday and still now after returning home. The fire alarms went off at 3am one night, no fire but it took the staff over 1/2 an hour to get them switched off, only for them to go off 20 minutes later. Reception & room service seem to think that it is ok to call the room at any time of the night, 2 calls after 11pm from room service to see if we 'enjoyed our meals', 1 from reception at 01.25 to see if they could bring something to the room! Unbelieveable! Then the stench of sewage from the main gate of the hotel to the hotel front, gut wrenching to say the least. Only saving grace was the rooms were of a good standard, everything worked and cleaned daily. The 'Chillax' pool and bar are relaxing (If the families keep out of it, which they mainly do) and the service from Mohamed could not have been better. Do not go to this hotel if you have difficulty walking. The funicular tram connecting the lobby to the lower rooms and main pool & beach area is often out of order and there are alot of steps. We will not be going back to Sharm again and definately will give Hilton a miss in future. This is not a 5* hotel under any circumstances!

We Will Return!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/05
Great Hotel, first class service, thanks god for the funicular, 140 steps from beach level to reception, still helps work off the delicious food. Room was spotless, a couple of ants were spotted on day 1 but a call to reception and almost instantly the room was fumigated and no more problems. General Fumigation was occuring everynight at 7pm. Amazingly i got zero bites this holiday. The dive school, "Ocean College" is great as its onsite. The guys working the bars and restaurants work tirelessly. The hotel is about 10 mins by courtesy coach or taxi from Naama Bay, security is excellent, with everyone passing through metal detectors to get into hotel, pretty much the same all over Naama Bay now.

Heaven on Earth
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/12/05
Personally i loved the whole resort. i think the activities on the lower pools are a good idea and if these are not to your preference there is a quiet pool away from all of this. the staff cannot do enough for you and are eager to help you in every possible way shape or form. When we were there the cleaner would make us little towel sculptures ranging from a flower to a swan to crocodiles and camels. this was a nice surprise for us when we came in from the pool/beach. I don't know how anyone can fault this hotel and i have stayed in other 5 star hotels but this one tops them all

hope to go there again very soon
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/24/05
very nice hotel located 10minutes to Naama bay where life exists. and egyptian people are very kind and gentle. The hotel is very close like less than 5 minutes by walking to Alf Leila Wa Leila, the fantasia place. and also 10 minutes to old town-zug(sharm) by car. so the location is super. The sea is excellent, the fish, the corals..wonderful. I recommend it definetly.

The pearl of Sharm
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/23/05
I went there with two other lads, to celebrate my best mates birthday. We knew we were staying in the Hilton and where a bit sceptical about the hotel being too oriented for couples. Oh boy where we wrong!!! We where there mid march 2005 (Outside temperature was about 25-30 degrees water was about 20-24degrees), and have to say to date this is my favourite place in the world. The hotel is fantastic the bedrooms are spacious, very comfortable and have large balconies. We were lucky enough to have a sea view, which is defiantly worth asking for; in fact I would pay a little extra for it if they wanted. The hotel has 3 large swimming areas suitable for every one, two of which have more than one swimming pool. There is a gym and probably the best health centre in the area, this is what we where told by all the locals and outsiders that came to use it. In addition there is the beach and entrance to the red sea. In true Hilton tradition the food was exceptional although we did eat from outside most of the time purely because it was equally tempting. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel where you can enjoy a lovely meal for 10 per person (I really mean it when I say the food is GOOD that goes for breakfast as well). There is also a choice of restaurants in walking distance from the Hotel, it defiantly worth trying the Moroccan evening at the Fantasia show opposite the hotel (I forget what the name is but the place looks like a Aladdin castle and has loads of shops surrounding it). The hotel is located a taxi ride away from the city centre nama bay which is full of delicious restaurants and some cool night clubs. A taxi will cost you between 1.50 and 2.00. We spent most nights here the shops and restaurants are open till the early hours. As far as excursions go there is a chap that sits in the hotel all day who sells all kinds of excursions again in true Hilton style he is slightly a bit more expensive then some of those you will find outside but he offers a private car as a pose to a bus full of people. If you are thinking of travelling to see the historical side of Egypt i.e. Cairo, Luxor etc, be prepared for a very long tiring journey if your going on a day trip by bus!!!! NOT recommended best to go by plane or split your holiday in two, travel to the historical side first then come to Sharm. Overall we had a great holiday I am defiantly going back, the hotel is a gem!
