Hilton Times Square, New York

My stay at this hotel was deplorable. When we first entered the hotel room, the rug was wet. We weren't sure why. We had four women staying in the room. The first person to take a shower discovered why the rug was wet. The shower in a handicap room has no tub. Just the floor with a drain. Apparently the drain was broken/clogged. The entire bathroom fukked with water and was not draining. So much so, that the rug in the room got wet. We are not talking an hour long shower either...it was 5 minutes. The rest of was were unable to take a shower and/ or even dress in the bathroom. I went to the front desk to lodge a complaint. The manager said they had never had a complaint before about the room (which I later found out from one of the people from engineering was a lie). In any case, the manager said he would have engineering have a look at it and leave me a voice mail. We went out. Upon retunrning to my room later that evening, there was no voicemail.The next morning, the first person went to take a shower. Again the same problem occurred, only worse. At this point I was VERY unhappy. We asked housekeeping in the hall to send up a mall and they said they would. After 20 minutes, I knew they would not send one up. I again contacted a manager. It was a different person. This time I had asked at the very least for a mop to be sent up. She said said that she would do so and check into the problem. Another 1/2 hour goes by. The mop was never sent. It was impossible for us to dress in the bathroom, never mind take a shower. It was an absolutely aweful experience. I will never stay at another hilton. Not only was the room terrible, but the customer service was even worse. It completely ruined our vacation

I thought it was a very nice place to stay. We only had to walk four blocks to our broadway show and the night life was to die for. I am from a small town in Oregon and was not afraid to walk anywhere in Time Square after midnight.

Location is great, subway station is a few steps from hotel. It was cleaned (hotel and room), great service, nice people. Next time I'll stay here again, so trust me, if you decide to stay at Hilton Times Square you are going to love it as I did.

We had a great view of the city. Location is great! Three doors down from the amsterdam theatre. Walking distance to heart of times square. Little secret: The Waldorf is WAY nicer and surprisingly less expensive! :)

Love this hotel! One of the best in NYC. The service is great and the location is truly second to none -- you can look at the craziness of Times Square in the comfort of your large hotel room. I've been to this hotel about 5 separate times since 2000 and have never been disappointed.

The location is very good, less than a block off Times Square and the subway,next to madame Tussauds. Only the Mariott Marquis is closer or actually on Times Square but is not worth $100-200 more a night. The rooms are quite large and everything is like you would expect in a nice Hilton and the beds are very comfortable. Hop on the R train to SoHo or take a good stroll to Central Park down 5th. Everything was great but terribly cold-bring your best coat and scarf.

This is at the very top of the best hotels I've stayed at in NYC. Reasons why: -Big rooms -Exceptional service -Top-notch central location (literally in Times Sq) -Good view of NYC in the two rooms we stayed in I stayed here for a week in Summer of 07 and once in Jan 07 and both times I was extremely happy all around - starting with the reasons listed above. The hotel can be pricey - let's face it...which NYC hotels don't cost an arm and leg? - but if you book it in advance you can get a great deal. We paid $220/night and it was money very well spent. We would pay more if we had to because the product is outstanding and better than most NYC hotel rooms.

The Hilton Time Square was simply fascinating! The staff was friendly, polite and professional. The room was comfortable and inviting. The view of the sights was impeccable. The location, location location of this hotel is magnificent. It is close to Broadway, Great Shopping and transportation to all other Burroughs! This luxurious hotel was the catalyst for my timeless memories of New York and the exciting Time Square.

Location. Location. Location. We arrived from Boston via bus. The port authority (bus depot) was a short walk w/luggage to the hotel. Room was amazing. Location was better than the Embassy suites which we would also stay at. Family didn't want to leave. Exit front of hotel and Mary Poppins was steps away. The next day we purchased same day tickets for Rent. Exit the back entrance to the Hilton and you were steps away from that venue. Dallas BBQ,movie theaters, Dave and Busters, Applebees, BBKing club and restaurant, 24 hour McDonalds, Madame Tussands, was an elevator ride away from your room. We will definitely return!!!!!
