Handicap NOT ACCESSABLE!
My fiance and I came in to town to pick up my daughter with his son. The boys were going to hang by the pool and relax while I went to dinner with my children. The pool seemed like a 15x15 kiddie pool, and was 4 1/2 foot deep.
I got a "handicap suite" I have advanced MS and need all the buttons and bells that a fine hotel offers to someone with my health issues. Instead of getting a suite, I got a ROOM with ONE bed (king) NO couch and ONE chair to sit in which was at the desk.
The HANDICAP bathroom was a TOTAL JOKE!! Yes it had a walk in shower. There was a rail I think in it. The hand held shower head was BROKEN and not a handicap handheld shower, so it kept slipping out of my hand, it sprayed from the head AND the part you put up to stand up and shower. The shower curtin was at least a foot too narrow and didnt cover the whole shower opening so the floor got SOAKED because of the shower head spraying water all over. The floor being wet was DANGEROUS and they offered a 3 by 5 CLOTH towel bath mat to put down. The tile was like a skating rink when wet and I almost fell but luckily has my finance there to catch me. The toilet was NOT a handicap one and was like sitting on a potty chair.
The room was at the END of a VERY long hall, I felt like they were getting me out of the way. I walk with a walker and almost fell again while having to walk down the hall. I paid full price for this "room" and expected and PAID for a suite. The breakfast was greasy bacon and fake scrambled eggs, some fresh donuts, juice, coffee I give the breakfast a 4 out of 5 stars. The staff was friendly and courteous, its not their fault the " handicap suite" was a lame bedroom and the hotel made this handicapper feel like a burden and hideable.
