Horrible place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/05
I've travelled all over the world and this is the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The room was dirty, staff were unavailable during even the minimal posted hours of 11-7, no supplies/linens, etc. You have to carry out your own trash at the end of your stay or be charged $25!!! Towels were like tiny flimsy sand paper. Tissue thin toilet paper lasted about 3 days and they refused to give me more. The mid-week cleaning didn't happen, but someone came in my room and rearranged some things. I can't wait to see if I get my deposit back; from what I've read, I can kiss it goodbye.
The icing on the cake was the morning I accidentally locked myself out of my room. Supposedly there was a security guard available when there was no-one at the desk. However, after waiting 30 minutes and ringing the guard's room and knocking on his door numerous times, I had to leave for my morning meeting without my meeting materials or my purse. At lunch I drove across town to pick up these things, and was told by the person on the desk that there really wasn't a security guard on duty except 11PM-7AM!!! The rest of the time, you're basically on your own. What if I had aciidentally locked myself out of my room as I was taking things to my car to leave for the airport?!?! Or what if there had been medicines in my room that I had to take every few hours?!?! I have no idea what I would have done. This is an unsafe situation.
I realize that minimal staffing, minimal service, and minimal supplies are how they keep costs down, but this is beyond belief.
Also, I felt rather scared here, as a female traveling alone, given the obvisouly transient guests that were here.
Bottom line:
NEVER NEVER NEVER stay at an Intown Suites.
