Rudeness at its finest
We arrived to find no second accommodations for the pull out sofa that was arguably three decades old.. So, that was one trip back to the front desk... There was silverbacks in the bathtub, and ants in the kitchen... There were burn holes in our comforter, although this was supposed to be a nonsmoking room.. Upon reserving, I advised that I had a groupon, however, my card was still charged, and the groupon was still redeemed for face value.. Upon check out, the desk clerk was the epitome of rudeness, she argued with me in front of other guests in the lobby that I had NOT paid for the room twice, although I had my bank account pulled up on my phone and was able to show her where I had paid for the groupon (that they had a printed copy of and later turned in to redeem their money for the room).. This was a very aggrevating and mortifying experience as this was supposed to be our last weekend getaway with our friends before my son arrives in a few months... Upon calling back and forth between Hawthorn and Groupon (Wyndham customer service advised me to call them and if I couldn't get my money from them, then they would refund it), I waited for two days and never heard a word or recieved an email. I just got off the phone with the customer service rep, had sent her my account statement for both transactions, as well as the page showing that the groupon had been REDEEMED, only to receive a call back stating that they had already credited my account as soon as the complaint was filed.. WRONG... I called my bank and was advised that they don't even show anything trying to credit into my account at this time, only two transactions from breakfast and gas even showing for the last two days... I would rather sleep in my car than to go through this mess again...
