Country Suites Lake Norman, Huntersville

The location was great, right off I-77. Service was excellent. With our large family the suite layout was fantastic (I could not have had a restful nights sleep if my children were not accommodated in the same room). I also found the cost to be within reason, which is important with a family our size. Country Inns and Suites will be a part of all our plans requiring overnight accommodations. Thank you, for a job well done!

The staff was unhelpful and acted as if we were bothering them by checking in. The rooms were dirty and smelled musky. My family will not stay here again. Too bad as it is a good location for the interstate and local restaurants.

We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites at Lake Norman while visiting the Huntersville area. We were told by the reservations desk that it was the best hotel in the area. The lobby area was nice, but front desk person not very helpful as she was not from that area and could not help us with directions or places to see. The room set up was nice where there was a seperate living area, but the carpets were filthy and in need of replacing, the pull out sofa had not been changed, the bathroom was not very clean and toilet was VERY loud. I stayed with small children and the microwave in the room was close to the floor so they kept playing with it (thinking it was toy). My husband and daughter also went to try the pool out but came back minutes later saying it was dirty. I will say that the complimentary breakfast was nice, with make your own waffles, and many other things to choose from. I would not stay at this hotel again.

My wife and I stayed here for 7 days prior to moving into our new house. Nice clean and a very welcoming, no frills, staff. The room was just big enough and it was nice to have a little kitchen area seperate from the sleeping area. High speed internet access was fast and 10 cents a minute 'phone calls throught the country. Amazing. Our "suite" wasn't perfect but it was way above the big cookie cutter hotels. The room maids were wonderful and always smiling, polite and pleasant. Breakfast was really nice with fresh fruit all in. Two televisions! Very much a family and travelling business person hotel with no false claims. This hotel wasn't perfect but we would stay there again and recommend it if you've had it with the four and five star chain hotels. The toilets on the third floor were loud! David
