Hotel Isa

This hotel was conviently located a few blocks from the Metro and buses. The room was large (for a European room) and clean. The staff spoke English and were pleasant and helpful. Our room included the breakfast buffet on the roof and had a great view. We would stay here again.

I would definitely go back!
By ,
I had a really nice stay at Hotel Isa. I thought that the location was perfect for us; it is within walking distance of most of the main attractions, except for the colloseum, which we had to take the bus to. Our room was really clean and charming. It has satellite TV and we were able to watch one of the Lakers championship games at 3 in the morning!!!! We are huge Laker fans, and it was pretty exciting to watch them on TV in Rome. The hotel also has free internet, which was nice. The best highlight of the hotel, is the breakfast on the terrace. I think the breakfast is included and it is really, really good. The views are nice too. The whole ambience was really nice and a great way to start the day!

First time to Europe!
By ,
This was our first time to Europe and staying at the Isa Hotel made us very comfortable, safe, and satisfied. Having breakfast on the roof overlooking the Vatican was probably the coolest part of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and they serve great coffee and there is a cook on site to serve you omelets. The eating area was quiet and surrounded by plants and flowers. A very nice experience. The rooms were very clean and the modern decor made me feel very comfortable. The room had a decent sized flat screen tv and a fridge undernear the window. The room also had AC, which is a huge plus to have!! The pics they show online really do look like the room we stayed in. The only downside about the room is they do not provide irons (so we had a buy a few unwrinkled shirts while we were there so that all of our pictures didn't make us look like bums!) They have a receptionist at the hotel 24 hours and they have free wireless internet. They also provide a computer in the common area downstairs for guests to use the Internet if they need to. The location of the hotel is perfect, too. It is very close the the shopping areas and restaurants, but not as close to where you are totally surrounded by tourists and people walking outside your hotel. The hotel is a few blocks down from the major tourist attractions, which is nice. They have a little grocery shop right on the corner of the hotel, which we used often to fill up on soft drinks and snacks to bring back to the hotel. If you are interested in taking the bus, the bus station is right next to the hotel. Honestly though, if you don't have bad knees or feet, you can seriously walk to every attraction. We did and it was great! A great experience and well worth it!

Enjoyed it!
By ,
This place really worked for me & my boyfriend. We changed hotels from Hotel Eden which was a bit too stuffy & costly for our tastes. Isa has a wonderful breakfast you can take on the terrace which is included with the room. There is really good shopping in this area too. The staff is pleasant as well.

close to everything
By ,
After spending 14 days on a very busy tour of Italy, our husbands headed home with the tour and my friend and I stayed to slow down and enjoy Rome. We had to move hotels and chose the ISA. It was a wonderful choise! Our room was beautiful and clean and large. The staff was excellent! They helped us with our tours and made sure we knew where we were going and how to get back. The breakfest--comes with the room--- was the best ever!!! Felt like we were going to a wedding breakfest every day. The terrace is a beautiful place and the food and wine are top rate. We walked to the VAtican in less then 20 min.as it is with in sight. The bus stop is at the end of the 2nd. block. I WILL STAY THERE NEXT TIME AND EVERY TIME I AM IN ROME!! Great value--great service.

Very disappointing
By ,
We searched a lot for hotels in Rome before booking. Based on the reviews, the Hotel Isa seemed a good bet. However when we arrived, we were very disappointed. Although it had a nice boutique feel, we were shown to a room on the 1st floor that smelled like a rat had died in it aND had various stains on the walls. After complaining, we were moved to the 'only other room available' which, although didn't smell, was tiny! In fact, we had to move furniture to be able to walk around the bed it was so small. Although clean, it was aslo very dark and outdated. The fresh orange juice at breakfast was definitely the best thing about the hotel. We moved to a different hotel on our third night near the colloseum which was much better (and cheaper).

Hotel Isa

Hotel Isa is a great place to stay. It is close enough to walk from the hotel to the Vatican. It is also a block or so from the American consulte. The staff speak english and are really helpful and so nice. They have a great brekfast buffet. The rooms are done very elegantly. I recommend this hotel. When we go back we plan to stay there again.
