Horrible
By Steven, 4/14/08
I stayed at the Tribeca Grand on 3/29/08 for my 5th Anniversary. It was beyond atrocious. They put us on the second floor, failing to advise us that the atrium (the rooms all overlook the atrium) turns into a nightclub until the wee hours of the morning. Suffice it to say, all of the reasons why you don't want to sleep in a nightclub came true here. Even worse, after agreeing not to charge me for my room, the hotel charged my credit card anyway and refuses to reverse the charge!! Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Nice Hotel
By Rachna, 5/23/07
Spent four nights here last summer. . .I was very pleased with the hotel. There is a nice lounge downstairs, friendly staff, and good location.

Great time, great place!
We stayed at the Tribeca Grand during the August heatwave. On our second night we had an issue with the night manager regarding the loud music coming from a private room off the bar which happened to be situated right below us. We were told to stick a pillow over our heads. We said it's not the noise it's the vibrations. To which she (the manager) replied, stick two over your head. Finally, after two hours of "discussions", we were moved to a smaller room on a higher floor. At that point we didn't care how big the room was we just wanted to sleep. In the morning my husband spoke with the Front Desk Manager, Ash Bhasin, and told him the situation. He was completely sympathetic and apologetic. He upgraded us to a suite, had our luggage moved and gave us two complementary breakfasts. Aside from the one incident, we had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Cool cloths and champagne were offered to us as soon as we came in from the sweltering heat. Concierge service was very helpful in making us restaurant reservations and in getting us theatre tickets. We would highly recommend this hotel, (just avoid the night staff if possible). Nicholas and Debbie Prins

Very Good but...
By ignacio, 12/29/05
The best part of the hotel is the cool lobby bar. However, they closed it off for a private party on a Thursday night. It was a cold and wet evening which left the hotel patrons without any form of socializing or unwinding.

Come for the style stay for the service
By Susan, 8/23/05
The gracious and attentive staff is what makes this hotel superior. I recently stayed at the Tribeca Grand for a week and expected a hip hotel with hip employees and the sort of so-so service that accompanies trendy places. Instead, I found a place full of accommadating, happy and respectful service minded staff. On top of the basics being exceptional the restaurant was top-notch and the room and every spot in the place completely spic and span. Throughout my week I needed several things and every call to the front desk or concierge was picked up instantly and dealt with quickly and perfectly. I actually laughed at how quickly staff made it to my room when I requested an ipod and a fish (both free upon request). I took advantage of the small, private business office that is available for a small fee ($10 or $15 a day I think)Tribeca is a fantastic neighborhood for a stroll and is especially fun for singles, couples, business travelers or shoppers and pet owners...a full section in the room service menu is devoted to pet needs! Each doormen knew the area like the back of their hand and helped me and my friends(some of whom live in NY) get to places faster and with less hassle than we thought possible. I've stayed in many a hotel throughout the world and plenty in NYC and say skip the 'snotty' places that don't actually treat you well and supply you with what you really want at a hotel - stay at this fabulous place and you will not be sorry.

for a pampered exellent nights sleep
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/19/05
I had a terrible night at a notsonice hotel i wont mention the name of. I went to the Tribeca Grand and and asked for a extra quiet room. They gave me a exellent room with a hallway shared with only one unoccupied room. You would think that the Bose stereo in the rooms could cause disturbance from the neighbours, but like the tv i think it was modified so it could not be turned up loud. The LCD-screen in the bathroom was a nice feature. The service was great, with a few minor gliches. The room wasnt huge but the whole atmosphere of the hotel was so pleasent and relaxing that it made up for the roomsize. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful modern hotel in midst of Tribecca.
By Susan Oppelt, 9/7/04
This hotel boasts an amazing hip hotel bar with great bites. Its rooms are on the small side, but have super sleek details (like a small flat screen in the bathroom). Dark grays, and muted colors dress the room and this can make you easily want to sleep the day away. The staff was very courteous and helpful during my stay.

Great location; Stylish place
The Tribeca is right in the center of a great part of New York and close enough to the business end of things to still be convenient. The bar in the center of the lobby is a local hotspot. Like it's sister hotel, the Soho Grand, the Tribeca also has a lot of stylish amenities that make the place distinct. This isn't your bland Hilton or Hyatt. It's got character.

nice hotel in a great location
By carolyn, 9/2/04
Great location for a hotel - right in the heart of Tribeca, with access to great restaurants and bars. The rooms are nice (they do have king-sized beds available, for taller guests). The downstairs bar is great, but it isn't conducive to getting to bed early (it can get loud). Staff is nice, helpful. If you need to stay downtown, I would reccomend the Tribeca Grand.

Cool Hotel
By Brandon Ramsey, 8/27/04
This hotel is a great stop for people visiting New York. It is in a cool location close to a lot of NYC night life. The concierge is one of the best in business, very professional and courteous.
