Scary!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/09
Where do I begin? Our room was hot, so my husband attempted to turn on the A/C. The knobs weren't even attached to anything...just sitting there. We called the front desk to tell them the A/C wasn't working and they somehow turned it on from there. The room was tiny...towels and washcloths were stained...I found a long hair on the towels...cigarette burns on the sink as well as on the bedspread. Worst of all, what appeared to be blood stains on the bedspread...gross! A/C didn't really cool the room until early in the morning. We will not be staying here again and won't recommend it to anyone.

Stay somewhere Else!
By LIZARD, 07/04/09
Horrible smells...Very Musty smelling. I thought it smelled like a basement from the 70's. And my mother is 70 and cannot lift her own suitcases to check out. I told the manager that I didnt get off work till 130 and I knew checkout was Noon, so I told him she would probably have to stay in the room till i could get there to help her out. Well instead of just offering to help her checkout at noon ... he charged me $20 to extend her stay for 1 1/2 hours. The room only costs 40-50 a day and he decided he had to charge me 20 bucks for and hour and a half extra. Thats crazy.

Do go here you will regret it.

Poor customer servive. Very musky smell. Family owned, and unfriendly. Hard beds & you will feel the springs. Small rooms. The value is a little over priced for what you get. I will never go back EVER!!!

So-So
By Kenneth, 08/03/07
The room I was in was clean and functional and the property was quiet and the price was right. My complaints ar as follows: I arrived around 11pm on a Monday night and the front desk person greeted me in pajamas and looked like he just woke up. When I woke up the next morning, I had to go to the front desk to get an iron & ironing board (they wouldnt bring it to me AND they only have one for the whole property) and they lady greeted me in the same manner as the gentleman the night before - in her pajamas and looking half asleep. This is obviosly a family owned property of the franchise and they operate on a smaller budget but you have got to be professional in your appearance for guests and having only one ironing board for the whole propoerty is unacceptable. They didnt have a pool which was a letdown but not a deal breaker. I left my atlas and maps in the room when I cjecked out and when I realized it about 45 minuteds later I called them and they said that there wasnt anything left in the room so I bought more maps and continued my trip. Later they called me and said they had found them but I had to pick them up before 4pm or they would throw them away. What is up with that? I like Microtel Inns because of their value but this one wasnt very good and I will not be returning.

Great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/07
My boyfriend and I wanted to get a room for New Years and of course most things were booked. We wanted a room with a spa and I was very impressed with the Microtel Inn in Mesquite. Not only did they have a spa room available, but it was a great price. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was very comfy and cozy and we both enjoyed our New Years evening in the spa room at Microtel. The staff was very friendly and when we needed more towles or pillows, etc... they were very quick to respond to our needs. We will definently recommend this hotel to anyone else who is looking for a place to stay while visiting in Mesquite, or for anyone that is looking to get away to a nice, clean room with a spa, yet that is affordable!!
