Customer Service needs SIGNIFICANT improvement

Very disappointed by the following:
- Room was not ready at Check-In time; therefore, we returned 45 minutes later (as requested). When we got to the room, it wasn't the room type that we reserved. We were asked to carry our luggage back to the front desk to resolve the situation. (Bad Start).
- Restaurant and Snack Bar were "closed for season"; although, website stated open year-round.
- Pool: Very Limited Hours, No Staff, No Towels
- Continental Breakfast: VERY limited selection of boxed danishes. Cold and Stale. Served kool-aid in place of juice. No nutritional options (fruit, yogurt, etc).
- Events in tent outside hotel were allowed to play loud music until 11 pm. Could be heard clearly in hotel and rooms
- Attempted to talk to front desk clerk about our concerns. He was too concerned about collecting payment for bill. So, we sent comment card and letter to complain. Received standard form letter (w/ several spelling errors) that didn't address any of our concerns.
WILL NOT RETURN!! After staying in Minocqua, we loved the area. There are many other hotels in the area that would be a better choice.
