There is good news and ...
By Ron Baxter, 7/1/06
The good news is that the house is magnificent with plenty of room, beautifully furnished, comfortable beds, a great kitchen and more - like the grand piano that plays itself. The location could not be better, a quiet street, only a short walk to the lake and the south end of Lincoln Park, close to transport, restaurants, supermarket and everything. With all this in mind the rates represent good value. So why don't we give 5 stars for overall experience? Well, the management was intrusive and bossy with a boot-camp mentality. When leaving, we had late flights and asked to leave our luggage for a few hours and were refused. What service rating would you give for that? They asked for full payment on arrival for a one week stay. In retrospect, this was a bad idea. Some of our party were so upset they would have liked to move elsewhere after a couple of days - so take care!

After seeing the rest, this is the best!
By Gregory, 9/4/05
Having stayed at other hotels in Chicago while traveling, Old Town is the best! The neighborhood of old town is fantastic and also provides quick access to center city and the business district. The innkeepers are very helpful and informative about the on goings in Chicago. The quarters are immaculate and the common areas impeccable.

wonderful and delightful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/05
It was a wonderful stay at the Old Town Bed and Breakfast. The owners Were delightful and informative. They showed me maps of the city and helped me find excellent restaurants and entertainment. They seemed to know most everyone in town. The bed rooms exceptionally clean and spacious. There was a very large selection of movies and music for my enjoyment. Will stay again!

Will Never Go Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/04
The owners smoked. It was noisy. I heard "private" noise" in adjacent rooms. The owners woke me up with the TV at 6:30 AM on a Saturday. The breakfast was sooper chintsy. Go somewhere else,
