We'll be back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/25/10
My husband and I were very satisfied with the Red Roof Inn in Pigeon Forge. The front desk personnel were very polite and efficient. Our room was better than some of the 4 star rooms we've stayed in in the past. The bed was extremely comfortable and our 4th floor view was nice. I love to soak in a hot tub of water to relax at the end of the day. Their tub was perfect for relaxing! You lean back into a perfect comfortable position. I've never found this in any other motel/hotel. Also, ice machines on each floor made it easy for us to have cold drinks anytime. Breakfast could have been better supervised, but it was good. This is a great place to stay! I'm glad I did and will be back as soon as I can. Thanks Red Roof Inn for a great stay!

Great place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/18/10
Our family jusy left the hotel after a week stay. The staff was helpful and nice. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was OK but REMEMBER, you get what you pay for. In our case, we got much more than ever expected. Great location and close to attractions, and the pool was nice. I would highly recommend it to others. It is well worth the money.

Breakfast Blah and Renovation Desperate
By Deanna, 6/8/10
We reserved a children's suite just for the kids. The hotel was older and seriously in need of a renovation. The bunk beds were cute, and ideal for our two kids, but they were not covered with twin sheets, so the sheets did not stay on the bed during the night very well. The kids could check out two games while we stayed and trade them out as often as they liked. The problem with that was most of the games offered either did not work very well or were not rated for children. The kitchen area was nice and was well equipped with dishes and silverware; so, if you wanted to fix a microwave meal or bring food back to the hotel you could. This came in handy later on. Also the tv nestled in the children's room sat on a shelf where it teeter tottered, hopelessly waiting to be knocked over-so you could replace it! The book shelf had an ionizer on top of it, that kept the room quite fragrant during our stay, otherwise the room stunk of a musky odor that gave away the age of the hotel. The children's room was the room out, which was not something I really liked, and the adult room with the king and the jacuzzi was separated by a door. The door leading out of the kids room, had a dead bolt that hung on for dear life, and I did not feel comfortable with my kids in the room with a faulty deadbolt, so I put a chair in front of the door. The adult room did not seem like anything special. The tv did not work very well--the sound faded in and out and was quite fuzzy. The picture was also way too large for the screen as well. When a caption was on the screen, it was not legible because the screen was too small. The handles on the jacuzzi were not marked hot or cold and the handles were jiggly. The hot-tub worked fine other than that. The bathroom-the only bathroom for both rooms was a little small but worked fine. The kids room did not have direct access to the bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was AWFUL! The hot breakfast consisted of biscuits and gravy that tasted like watered down milk with bits of sausage, and the biscuits tasted stale, as did the cereal. The person on duty at the breakfast area had a tip bowl where it was clearly marked on the walls and the bowl how much she should be appreciated. However, on one of the mornings when I did try to eat the breakfast, I noticed the hot water thermos was empty and you had to ask the person on staff to fill your cup/bowl with hot water. Even after being asked several times for water, she refused to fill the thermos on the counter. Although the room was not the best, and was certainly NOT what I expected, it WAS clean. It was clean enough that when I walked on the floor, my feet were clean. This is one thing that I have to have in a hotel-cleanliness. The evening staff was mainly comprised of men, and they were all VERY helpful and friendly. The morning person that asked me about my stay got kind of hostile when I expressed my concerns with her. She said these things take money and when the person in front of me made a comment about the breakfast not having fruit, she interrupted her by handing her a business card and told her that if she wanted to make a complaint to complain to the manager. Overall, I would not likely stay in this hotel again, unless it underwent a renovation and updated their breakfast options.

Great place, will be back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/09
We had never stayed here before, had always stayed at another hotel in Pigeon Forge. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and just wanted to stay somewhere different since our kids were not with us. The staff there could not have been any nicer. We did not get there until 2 o'clcok in the morning, the young man at the front desk was so nice. We stayed in the king suite with jacuzzi, and it was nice and clean. The beds were the most comfortable bed that we had ever slept on in a hotel. The location was perfect, close to everything that we did. We will for sure stay here again.

Thought it was great until...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/27/08
My family and I stayed here in June-08 and thought we had a great time until today 8/27/08 when I noticed that Red Roof decided to charge my bank account again (on top of the $307.00 we paid in June for our stay). They charged us $100.57 because they say I called and made reservations and never showed up! What?? Can they do that? This is a scam and I cant wait to talk to my attorney about it. Of course in the mean time I am going to have to cancel my check cards and get new ones because now this scamming little hotel has all that information. DO NOT STAY HERE! YOU WILL CONTINUE TO PAY OVER AND OVER AND OVER!

Complete Disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/10/08
This place has 3 good things - friendly & accommodating staff; hot water; and good hair dryers. Arrived on Mon.; had king room on 5th floor; odor was horrible; affected sinus and I stayed sick the entire week. A/C extremely loud and slept w/o it for 2 nights. Asked to be moved. Was moved Wed. Got key to new room only to find out that tub had overflowed and water was everywhere. Was put in a room next to the pool with 2 queen beds. They do not enforce pool rules. Supposed to close midnight. Kids playing until 1:30 a.m. Owner needs to spend some money and upgrade this place. This was our first experience with Red Roof and it will definitely be our last. Other than the friendly staff, I WOULD NEVER SPEND ANOTHER NIGHT AT THIS PLACE!!!
