Lodge at Emerson Place, Mt Tremper

I brought my 2 kids (14 and 10) and Misti, my two-year old Poodle, yes, the lodge allows pets! The front desk went way out of their way, they even walked Misti while I was out at dinner. My daughter, only 14, was able to get special permission for a manicure and pedicure. The spa was beautiful. They gave us coupons for free coffee and free kaledoscope show(aparently the world's largest.) The new construction looks amazing. The only complaint is that the work out area is not open early in the morning. We can't wait to go back.

Front desk personel were unhelpful and rude. We were promised at the time of the booking that we would be able to check in early to prepare for a wedding. The room was not ready at 1:30 when we arrived. It was not ready until 2:45 and only upon our insistence. (normal 3:00 check in! Thanks!?)Website pictures depict bright sunny rooms which were very misleading. Ours was a dark, musty room. The hotel did not meet our expectaions and we would never consider staying here again.

I have been to Emerson Place several times, staying both at the sumptuous Inn and here at the Lodge. Found the Lodge to be a good value for the room and quality thereof, plus you have access to the Spa and shops at a reasonable rate.
