Baymont Inn & Suites Rockford, Rockford

We over-nighted here and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and well-appointed the room was for the price, including a microwave and small refrigerator. The carpet was a bit used, but clean, and the bathroom was certainly spotless. The air-conditioner was new, quiet and did a fine job of keeping the room cool. Staying as we did for only one night, we had little interaction with the staff, but when we did they were unfailingly polite and helpful. The motel is very easy to find -- if you're coming from the north, down I-39, you can see it on your left from the interstate. There are lots of restaurants in the area, and several of them deliver (info available in the lobby). This motel is pet-friendly, with a very reasonable fee of $10 per night. The continental breakfast is adequate; the "cook 'em yourself" Belgian waffles are a nice touch. I'd have no qualms at all about staying here again, or recommending it to a friend.

no problems what so ever, clean, friendly, easy off highway, breakfast had plenty for everyone. It was a tuesday when we stayed so i did not expect many people but it was about full. we did not have a reservation, clerk was friendly and helped with extra items needed in room. Would stay here again.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. Both times the staff went out of their way to be helpful and nice, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location is great.

The location was great for the soccer tournament we were in town for. That was the only great thing. The hotel looks very nice in the pictures and from the outside. Inside the lobby is ncie but the breakfast area is extremely small. Very few tables to eat at. The pool is even smaller. There was no room in the pool at all, even with only a few kids in the pool. The rooms could defintely use updating. The pillows and the beds were horrible. The door to our room, I didn't even want to touch, it was "sticky" and gummy feeling. The concept of clean could be introduced to this hotel and it could use a complete cleaning. In our bathroom there was "stuff" on the walls that I washed off when we got there because it was so gross to look at. While packing our stuff to leave I discovered what appeared to be dried blood on the box spring. It makes me cringe just thinking about it! The highlight of our stay was when our toilet broke and would not stop pouring water onto the floor. Twenty minutes after our distress call to the front desk, the hotels answer to our situation was to bring us towels so WE could clean it up and asked if we would like a plunger! My husband luckily had turned the water valve off or the whole room would have been full of water and the room below us. At that point I decided $120.00 a night for this type of situation was ridiculous. Our room ended up being compted due to our water issue, only after I demanded it to be. We had to send our son to a friends room to shower. We managed to get ready without the use of a bathroom and checked out. When we checked out the front desk didn't even offer an apolgy for the problems. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE -- POOR CLEANING AND AN OBVIOUS LACK OF MAINTENANCE!

About 45 rooms were reserved for our team to attend a girls’ basketball tournament in Rockford, here at the Baymont. The rooms could use updating, the pool was very small, but the breakfast was absolutely great! Lots to choose from and the kids enjoyed the “make your own waffles”. The problem we DID have was the staff. 80% of the staff here were very rude and should attend some type of guest service training before they are employed. They talked to kids and adults worse than I have seen people talk at home. At least 8 of the kids were literally yelled at for wearing socks only in the lobby area to go into the pool area. Worse yet, ADULTS were screamed at, worse than the kids were, for wearing SOCKS when coming down to get coffee and told to get back into their rooms and get shoes on. Not put in a nice way, seriously SCREAMED at in the rudest way you can imagine, like they just committed a crime. We will NEVER stay again at another Baymont Inn , which is sad because our teams travel many times a year and reserve about 40-50 rooms per night. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn but thought we’d give Baymont a try. Wish we hadn’t.

Good location and nice appearance from outside. We were disappointed in our room, as it had a stale odor and carpets needed better cleaning. There was some mildew on plastic shower curtains. We thought price ($100) was high for value of room. We would look elsewhere next time we are in town.

The location was great and so easy to find. The staff was friendly and very efficient. The rooms were clean and quiet. Nice pool. Good breakfast set up and great coffee.

it is so clean i mean it. I love the service. I think it is the best hotel there in rockford. It so clean there. I love the value there it was a good value. The peaple there are very nice.

Wow, this has got to be the best value in the entire Rockford area. After a horrible experience at a neighboring, more expensive hotel, this was exactly what I needed. It has much better service at almost half the price of other hotels around. I will definitely be staying here on return business trips.
