VERY pleased with our stay. Rates were VERY reasonable. Hotel staff...very nice! Andrea at the front desk was amazing! We reccomend this place for anyone. We had a great trip and a great time! After a good breakfast, the kids enjoyed the enjoyed the pool and spa!

Below is a copy of the screenshot (minus personal infomation) that I received when I made my reservation on 10/16/2010. I was to be in Marion, OH for training on 10/26/2010 so I made a reservation for the night of 10/25/2010. As you can see, it clearly states that I can cancel up to 6 pm on 10/25/2010 (the actual date of my reservation). In the meantime, my planned training was cancelled (due to job layoff) and, early on the morning of 10/24/2010 I called the Super 8 Motel's so-called customer service line (800-800-8000) in order to cancel. At this point, some English challenged individual informed me that my reservation was NOT cancellable and that I needed to check the confirmatin e-mail that they had sent me for the details. First of all, they had NOT sent a confirmation e-mail. Secondly, the screen shot clearly states that you can cancle up until 6 pm on the actual date that the reservation is for. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was given a number to call after 7 a. (800-454-3509). I called the above number and someone named "Ray" (unsure of spelling) told me the same thing. I also notified her that this was NOT disclosed whren I made the reservation or I would NEVER have agreed and made the reservation. Furthermore, that, since I am currently unemployed, being charged $60 + $$$ for a room I was not using was going to be a real hardship. But this is NOT a matter of buyer regret. I was NEVER notified that I would not be able to cancle this reservation. I would never have agreed to that. Pleas do NOT let these people rip you off. room smelled very bad and was dirty bedding was not clean recommend stay away

This hotel was noisy...people coming and going all night long. Pulling up to the lobby, coming inside for a few minutes and then pulling away. There were squealing tires, pounding on walls and shady looking people hanging out in the lobby. The rooms were very outdated and a little run down looking. It did appear they had been cleaned. Our AC did not work the first night and the desk clerk could not move us to another room. We HAD to stay a second night and fortunately we were moved to a room with a working AC unit. It is not likely I would ever stay here again. We were in town for an event at the state wildlife reservation, I am very frustrated the non profit organization that paid for our room was charged!! In my opinion it was a rip off! Our mattress the second night was worse than sleeping on the ground! The first night we were concerned with our safety!
