Great location and good service

The Intercontinental Coex is very conveniently located near the Coex mall and a really nice district of little restaurants and shops. You can get to the metro with a short walk through the mall or on the street. It is also right across the street from a lovely Buddhist monastery, so you can hear the bells in the morning and evening. Parts of the hotel are a little tired and I would say that the rooms are not terribly big, so you should consider that if space is really important to you. On the positive side, the gym is tremendous for a hotel gym - it is big, clean, has great equipment and a lovely view of the monastery. The breakfast is also first-rate and in most cases included in the cost of the room.

Very enjoyable stay

I travelled there alone and for business. This hotel is located in the business center of Seoul but also close to a whole bunch of local small restaurants and bars. you are 5min away from some good neighborhoods like Apjugeong-dong and Gangnam. Under the hotel is a HUGE shopping mall (COEX mall) with tons of shops and restaurant. it even connects with the Hyundai department store and the closest Subway station (10min walk). The continental breakfast is really good too with lots of choices, hot and cold. Service is excellent. That seem to be a Korean thing. Everything is clean. The rooms could be bigger but it's fine.

Great Stay

My wife and I stayed at the Coex Intercontinental Hotel Seoul for 1 night on Thursday Nov. 15. It was our second time staying there. The lobby is modern, grand, and well kept. Service is great. Lobby staff speak English. Room is well designed with comfortable beds and a good view of the city. The grandest benefit of staying there is the procimity to the adjoining COEX shopping mall. Fabulous mall, though pricey for clothes shopping. Plenty of wonderful Korean places to eat. Convenience store close to the hotel near the COEX mall aquarium. Only down side to the hotel is you have to take a cab to the nightlife areas of Seoul because there is not much around the hotel. COEX Intercontinental Hotel Seoul more than deserves it 4 star billing. I would definitely stay there again and again.

Impressive Service

5 star for service 5 star for breakfast They helped me change my room even though i was not there. Staff showed a lot of initiative. certainly will want to stay there again if I can afford it! Excellent place. No doubt.

Coex - highly recommended

I stayed at the Coex Intercontinental in 2005 and found it spacious and luxurious, comfortable and centrally-located. The service was fantastic, and the staff were very helpful.

Can't say enough about it.

I stayed here a number of times while working for ETEC, doing work for Motorola. 5 stars all around. I loved the breakfast buffet. The restaurants and room service are all top notch. Overall, my best hotel experience ever.

memorable stay in seoul

It was very conviently located for us since me and my wife were attending the conference at COEX. The staff were friendly, the breakfast buffet had a very large spread, rooms clean and a very well equipped gymnasium. We could travel the city using the subway since it was located within walking distance of the hotel. The shopping mall has a vast selection of items of tourist value. Great hotel

Excellent hotel for business and pleasure in Seoul. Central location is great for accessing subway to all parts of the city, and the City Air Terminal is adjacent to the complex making checking in for ICN flights a breeze.... Rooms are modern and large, high speed internet connection, and large work area... Breakfast buffet not to be missed... I'm not a morning person, but went down for breakfast every morning....

A Fine Hotel

This is a very fine property, expertly run and staffed. The architecture is modern, open but still warm. Location next to COEX, subway and underground mall is convenient.Nice buffet restaurant. Everyone is very friendly here.
