Best Western Trail Lodge Hotel And Suites, Eau Claire

We went to Eau Claire for a quilting retreat. The room was dirty and dusty, it clogged your head when you were in it awhile. We had the windows open all weekend to get the musty smell out. The coffee pot wasn't emptied from the poeple before us and there were dirty men's socks by the bed. When was the last time anyone cleaned the room!! Talked to the manager as we were checking out and told her of the problems. We couldn't change floors the place was full for the weekend. Hope they get it straightened out we are going back in Nov.

We stayed at the Best Western in Eau Claire because that is where our room block was reserved. We are a bit unfamilliar with the Eau Claire area and found the service at this location to be excellent. Kelly at the front desk anticipated our needs and provided a level of service that was unmatched by our recent hotel stays at other locations. While our room was comfortable, her service made us feel at home.

We found this hotel to be very clean and the rooms were spacious. The kids loved the pool and the continental breakfast was great. We stayed for a wedding that was in the hotel and the rates were great. The hall for the reception was beautiful and the food buffet was great. The only bad thing was that I had requested adjoining rooms for my parents so that the kids could go back and forth without disturbing the hallways and my parents were in bed earlier than we were and were going to keep an eye on our sleeping children if we stayed out later. When I originally booked the rooms I asked for two rooms with two double beds in each or two double beds and a king bed in the other room. The person who took the reservation said I can give you one room with two double beds, but the only other room that adjoins with yours is a king suite. So I paid more for the 2nd room only to find out when we got there that the rooms were not adjoining, but they were on different floors! The person at the front desk said that they couldn't guarantee adjoining rooms and didn't know who would have told me that. What would be the point of having adjoining rooms in your hotel if you couldn't guarantee your guests the amenity of adjoining rooms? Made no sense to me and I had to pay more for the 2nd room when we really didn't need a suite. There were no apologies and basically we had to take what they gave us or find another hotel. Very disappointed in the service at the front desk.

Rude, immature staff, inability to manage reservations or facility, broken furniture, broken air conditioning. Talk about flushing $128 down the drain! I would have been better off sleeping in my car. They also own another roach motel in Eau Claire. Do yourself a favor and find someplace else to stay -- this place should be razed.

I liked the the staff was friendly. The rooms were clean, as well as the hotel. If we needed something we were sure to get it.

Very Clean and pet friendly. Although only let you stay in smoking room with pets. Booked room over the internet for King Size Bed, when we got here was two queen size beds and that was it. The queen size beds were closer to doubles though. Free wireless internet. Nice location not right in the city

It was easy to book and staff quickly checked us into a suite, but the bathroom had a wicked smell, entrance had garbage overflowing at 7:30pm and was not cleaned up 12 hours later, understaffed an dfriendly front desk, but they were unwilling to discount rooms because of country festival. Management sent me a humiliating response with a 10% discount next time?! Very disappointing!

will stay there again and again when we are in the area. Employees are great also a great breakfast in the morning
