Hotel manager was rude, service was NONE, door would not lock upon leaving the room ,had to pack all our belongings to move to another room after attending my mothers funeral in New Orleans La and Franklington La for the price stay at Holiday Inn instead

the people at the counter are very rude! i recently had to cancel my reservations due to buisness plans changing. the person at the desk asked me questions that implied that i was unaware of my job requirements. they agreed to cancle inspite of their rule of no canceling of res. i was told about a service charge to be charged to my card and when i asked what the charge was for the person on the phone became belegerant and rude as if i had no right to inquire what i was paying for, then threatend to charge me for the whole night...because he was just trying to help. so in short if you reserve a room here dont cancel, or atleast dont ask what theyre charging for,they'll take it personal, even though its your money.

The hotel accommodation was clean and well maintained. I did not find any problem the service part either. It was simply nice and the location was very convenient.The staff were very friendly and concerned and helped by providing the local information. It was nice for the price.

We were not impressed with condition of the room. The room smelled bad. There was only one bath towel. There wasn't a blanket on the bed and the coffee pot had not been washed from when someone else had used it! The maid walked in on us at 9:00 am when check-out wasn't until 11:00 am! Worst of all, when we showed the desk clerk the coffee pot he said, "What's wrong with that? It is just coffee. Then told us don't come back then. We won't ever go to another America's Best Inn again!

We stayed here because of a business meeting in the area. Our room smelled bad. The sheets were stained, and there were bugs all over the place I realized in the morning These bugs were even in the bed which I obtained photo's and recorded disk of Scared me to death!! I called my husband right out of meeting to get me out of there which he came and got me, and I sat in the truck for several hours until his meeting was over just to get out of this place. What a nightmare! The pool right outside our window was green. Apparently not taken care of in a long time to have green gunk in it like that. I took pictures of this also. It should cleaned not just for visual, but for health wise of their customers. What a mosquito haven!!! The owner was nice and understanding after he saw the bugs, and offered a new room, but that room was just as bad. Even the love seat was falling apart in that room. The arm rest was coming off. But at least he tried. But his wife was disrespectful, and not professional at all. I tried to be friendly and talk to her about the situation, and she turned her head and walked away. She actually lied to my husband about my complaints to them while he was at the meeting. Not a nice lady at all, and in my estimation, does not need to treat the public rudely like she did me. We own our own business also, and would never treat a customer like she did us. All I can say is thank goodness I had my camera and camcorder to record all of this just in case needed in the future. We were booked for two nights, but we left and went to Baton Rouge because we could not even bare to stay a second night there in that place. We do a lot of traveling, and will NEVER stay at that establishment again.
