Perfect Night!

Had a great room and the view outside was spectacular! The desk made us feel welcome and we talked to them everytime we left the hotel. Only thing i would suggest is booking this at SweetHotelDeals. Net

Great hotel away from the hussle and bussle. Beautiful rooms, views, lobby area. Very friendly staff. We got the breakfast buffet included in our room price. It was very good. I have stayed in alot of nice hotels and this is one of the nicest.

Great stay for the family!
By ,
Great place for the family, especially if you're looking to just relax by the pool. My wife and I with our two kids aged 5 and 7 really enjoyed staying here. We had no complaints about the room, with the exception of a couple of strands of hair from past guests in the dresser drawers. I cleaned it up myself and placed handtowels in before tucking away our clothes. Otherwise, I found the hotel room to be spacious, clean, and comfortable. My wife and kids did too. The bathroom was huge. I enjoyed the view of the mountains from our room as well. We are typically a 'lounge by the pool' type family and our kids loved the pool. This Marriott did well in this respect. The pool was spacious, cool and refreshing and had plenty of spaces to sit and lounge. It could have used a few more umbrellas to protect you from the Nevada sun however, if we looked hard and long enough we were able to get our own. The property is huge and I felt safe for the most part. I would have felt better if it required you to use your room key to enter the hotel in the (sort of secluded) entry areas, especially when you return from a late night out. The area outside Marriott had plenty to offer for eating, shopping, and outdoor activities. I enjoyed a nice 30 minute jog around the property as well. It was a nice flat run with a few slight grades to give a little challenge. Plenty of golf if you are interested. We would definitely stay here again but longer. I recommend this Marriott, especially to families. Can't wait to go back again.

This Resort was awesome. Especially, the hotel services are far better when compared to others in the vicinity. Loved it and will recommend this to all my friends.

Great Value
By ,
Great value for the money (around 200 per night with AAA discount). Ceres restaurant had good breakfast buffet and servers were very attentive and helpful. In particular, one server (buyon??) went out of his way to ask the chef to prepare us bag lunches for our hike later that day. As we were getting ready to go the chef ran out and gave us oranges to go in our bags (very thoughtful). Rooms were very spacious. Nice spa tub and rainfall shower and good view of golf course/mountains. The poolside service (although only open one of the few days I was there because it was cold/rainy) was good. Often you had the hottubs to yourself. Unless you are going to get a treatment, I wouldn't pay 25 per person so use the spa facilities for a day (although they were nice (we checked them out-nice sitting areas, waterfall showers/hot tubs in the women's facility)) because you could just use the hot tubs near the pool. Also the spa entrance is right near the casino (poor layout). It is nice, though, that the casino was far removed from the rest of the hotel!! Most of the people at the hotel were older or business people there for conventions. Very few children. When we went to the Dolphin habitat and got a view of the hotel pools on the strip (OVERCROWDED) I was sooo happy I decided to stay at the JW. Grounds were amazing. The red rock casino/hotel grounds looked terrible comparably (just a giant building that pops out of the desert on the way to the red rock conservation area). Only thing that annoyed me a little was that they didn't have a room available for us when we tried to check in at about noon on our first day. They held our bags for us while we went out to the strip though. Great valet service (complimentary). I was getting used to just driving up to the door and leaving the car with the valet. Little weird that they tried to sell us on a new marriot timeshare on the strip by offering us another stay in either the jw or the timeshare property on the strip for 150 to 250 ish if we went to a presentation on our next stay. Would have been a good deal if I felt I would return to vegas in the next year (could be extended). Did get a 10% off food at the ceres even though I didn't accept the offer.

Great hotel
By ,
I recently stayed at this hotel for a business conference and really enjoyed it. The hotel and rooms were beautiful, good sized and very comfortable. What's been said previously about the baths, etc., is correct. I don't like Las Vegas, so staying away from the strip is really my preference. What detracted from the stay was food and transportation to/from the airport. I ate the hotel food at the conference and on my own and it was mediocre at best. I was given an estimate of $40 for cab fare to/from the airport. I found it to be closer to $60 to get to the hotel. The hotel has a shuttle to take customers to the airport but the latest trip leaves at 1:30 p.m. - much too early for many business reasons.

The resort is but minutes away from the grandchildren.
By ,
Normally, we stay at Intercontinental hotels, which we love. We booked into this property because it's minutes away from family. I was somewhat stunned by the environment-not expecting a Marriott to be so tasteful. Everything about our stays there has been 5 star, and though I agree with one reviewer whose complaint was greeted with "sorry about that", I'll learn to live with it. Going again next week.

Stay Away
This place is weak. It is 35 minutes ($40 cab ride) from the strip. My TV did not work, the food is poor, check-in was cumbersome, the valet could not give me directions to the airport and the casino reminded me of Atlantic City. Just about any place on the Strip would be more convenient and nicer than this hotel.
