The first time I visited The Grand it was my 50th birthday. It was a surprise trip from my friends and neighbors. I remember telling them I will never go to Vegas again. I am 64 now and my friend that got my first birthday celebration together has passed. My husband and I went Tuesday June 28. I was so surprised to have a card and snacks in honor of my birthday. The room was reserved in my husbands name but I made the call. I mentioned it was going to be my birthday. I think the person that answered the phone made a note of that. Whatever Thank you Grand! You made my birthday very special.

Seen alot of bad things people have said, but we have NEVER had any complaints while going for a day or staying over night. We have tried the others in the area but found our favorite is and will be Grand Victoria. people and staff have been very good to us. Thank you Grand Victoria for making us enjoy our time with you.

its pretty bad when you talk to people and you find out that they call most of the same names all the time for there drawings one man has been called 17 times in 3 months and if you talk to the help they will tell you the same thing this just isnt write were sick of hearing the same names all the time you know there are other people that would liked too be called once in a while on the drawings we have been coming there for a long time but i think we will have to start going elesewhere.

I visited the buffet before gaming. on 3/22/2011 12pm food was HORRIBLE.

We're from Ohio and visit Grand Victoria every other month. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Newly remodeled rooms are wonderful. Our last visit found our room over looking the Casino & Ohio River. Fantastic!. Over the years, if we encountered a problem or issue, we would contact the Casino directly. They were very receptive to our concerns and addressed them before our next visit. Comps are great! Thanks GV!

I went to the Grand Vic with my daughter and her friend. At first Hollywood was mentioned but my daughter had not been to Grand Vic so we decided on it. After the long drive there we were denied entrance by a security lady. My daughters ID( she is 23) when scanned across as a credit card showed her date of birth. However when inserted in the bottom another date came up she messed with it for 8 minute when we said give us the id back we going somewhere else she refused stated she had to call for her supervisor. By the time he arrives 10-20 has passed he tries the card reader this is a ohio driver liscence mind you It does the same thing he continues for 5-10 ignore me not speaking to me. I stepped infront of him and his co-worker and said I must need to stand in front of you for you to hear me. He still ignored me, I tried to get my daughters liscences telling him we wanted to leave we were no way staying there no. He jerked back hard on the card pulling it back. I told him he had no right to withhold her ID he handed it over to her. I am white as is my daughter.. her friend was not. We went to Belle Terra and Hollywood that day without instance.. and a card reader was used at Hollywood... SO WHAT WAS THE REAL ISSUE OF OUR BEING MADE TO WAIT AT AN ENTRANCE ???? We casino'd for 8 hours that day and alot of our family and friends go to the casino... but no one going to Grand Vic after I share this story....

we loved the clean room, the casino and the buffet, the grounds looked great, we found everyone friendly for the exception of a server in the buffet. she talked loud and nonstop the whole time we were eating. it was annoying, but would never keep us from coming back. we really had a great time and enjoyed grand vic more than the other two casinos. we cant wait to come back to play and stay a night. we even had a great view from our room window. wow! thank you grand vic what a great overnight stay, you can count on us to be back. a word to the wise...remember where you are at all times when playing slots at a casino, its not designed for everyone to win, but you sure can have a lot of fun. if we all won, we wouldnt be coming to play, the doors would be shut! laugh it off and give it another try!!!

We thought that once the new Hollywood opened, you would losen up your slots and make it fun for the visitors. However, we discovered the last few months that we went to the Grand Vic that we might as well throw our money overboard as to try and hit something on your slots!! It was unbelievable. We couldn't hit anything. Put your money in, and forget it, the slots ate it up! We're back at the Hollywood - probably for good! It's closer.

I have to disagree with some of the reviews. I read them before I visited G.V. and wasn't sure I wanted to go, but I am now very glad I made the trip. I did NOT find the slots tight, I was on a machine that turned over several times, I hit more jackpots than I ever have at any casino. The buffet was very good and the staff was very friendly. We found our room to be very clean. My friend found some loose slots too, just have to keep walking and checking. I most definitely will return to G.V., the sooner the better.

Staff is friendly. Tables offer lower minimums than Hollywood. Unlike Hollywood the casino floors are easy to navigate. But.... slot play and video poker play have tightened up considerably in the last 2 years. Presently I hold 'Diamond Card" status-their highest. My wife and I agree it's time to quit Grand Vic. My Diamond Card will soon turn to dust. Go for fun but don't expect to win if you play slots or video poker.
