DO NOT STAY H ERE
By bernard, 8/15/10
I am here now. and the girl at the front desk is so rude and nasty. I guess she is over worked or something and is taking out on the customers. she wanted us to bag the trash out on the patio. she was very rude to our kids and she is just a over all snotty evil twit. Pool is dirty and not even a pool its just an over sized bathtub. room are somewhat ok bed is hard. we will not stay here again. its loud and you cant complain because the evil twit is here. hopefully someone nicer and with balls will be working the night shift,

Don't stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/2/09
We stayed the first night and were so uncomfortable my husband was going to drive around looking for a new room at 3:00am. Why were we awake at 3:00am, because the bed was like a concrete slab. It was so hard! At one point he looked under the sheets to see if it was a box spring without the mattress on it. The AC didn't remove any of the humidity from the room. There were spots on the floor where you thought you might fall through to the room below you! We were on the second floor and they have no elevator, so dragging luggage, food, swimming things, kids, pack-n-plays, etc. up two flights of stairs was a little annoying also. OMG the swimming pool---more like the large bathtub that they called a swimming pool. It was about 12X12 and had enough room for about 10 people TOPS. I called on our way to make sure they were holding our room (I now wish they hadn't) and no one answered the phone! I called 3 times throughout an hour time span and let it ring for a couple of minutes each time. The next morning we booked at another hotel. When we went to cancel we couldn't because I had booked online with priceline.com. Plus, this was costing us $109 a night. We could have gotten a much better room for $99 somewhere else. So, in conclusion, don't book with priceline.com because they won't let you cancel and force you to stay in uncomfortable conditions, and the zoo is not hard to get to and parking is easy, so you don't need to stay this close. I would have expected to pay $65 a night for this hotel. At $65 a night I would have expected what we got. When I pay over$100 a night, I expect a nice room and a great pool. Neither were here.

I'll pass on this place next time
By Stahr, 7/4/09
Clean place, close to the zoo... very small pool, not enough room for the breakfast area. Worse than that, 1st floor rooms get to hear neighbors walking around, we got the opportunity to stay awake until 12:30 am listening. Tried to get assistance from night manager, he wouldn't contact those upstairs, afraid he'd wake them up???? won't be going back, many other better hotels...holiday inn express, etc...

Good for the price
By Erica L, 5/25/09
Very close to the zoo, places to eat etc. We stopped in for a one night stay before going to the zoo. The front desk staff were friendly and gave us great tips for finding a place to eat for dinner. The room was a king suite, it was comfortable and clean. My 3 year old slept on the pull out couch and we had a king for my husband and I. The TV didn't work well, but not a big deal for us. The room had a fridge and microwave, which was nice for keeping drinks/snacks cold for the zoo. The only complaint I had was that the carpets were a little dirty in some areas. The pool was small, but perfect for a quick stay. The continental breakfast was great. Overall it was nothing fancy, but great for the price and the location.

Outstanding Stay--Will Go Back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/16/07
This hotel is great! I have two small children (under 10 years old) and both enjoyed all aspects. The hotel is right next to the zoo (across the highway) so you can get to it in minutes. Also, when I needed directions for things (shopping, church, etc.) they were promptly given. The staff at the desk were very nice and the ladies who were in charge of breakfast were the best!!!! They remembered us, asked us how the zoo was, gave us pointers on things to "not miss"...all the indiviudals were the best. The only draw back was the pool as it is exceptionally small. However, if you swim during the day (when others are at the pool) or early morning, it is great. The only time I saw it exceptionally busy was after dinner, 7:00-9:00 P.M. However, proper supervision helps with any mishaps. Again, we will return and stay at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel with NO questions....Won't get better than this!!!!
