An affiliate of the Best Western hotel chain, the Hotel St. Sophia nestles in the shadow of Ayasofya (Hagia Sophia / St. Sophia) and is located just across from the Yerebatan Sarayı (Yerebatan Basilica Cistern). It was an Ottoman house in the 19th century. The warm yellow rooms are tastefully furnished with period pieces and the two suites each boast a jacuzzi as well as a balcony that overlooks Sultanahmet's pride and joy: the Ayasofya. A pleasant courtyard is the setting for breakfast. Rates may vary according to season.

This little, cozy, close to everything boutique hotel has a wonderful, efficient and friendly staff. It's clean, and conveniently located, The area feels very safe and it has good restaurants, shops, and many bargaining possibilities. Can't wait to go back! Anahi Walton-Schafer

BW Hotel St. Sophia is in the centre of the old city. It's very close to Hagia Sophia, blue mosque and tram stop. Nice rooms and friendly staff.
