Great service
By supergirl, 12/12/08
Compared to the other reviews below I really enjoyed my time here at this hotel. I recently stayed at this hotel for one week on a business trip to Los Angeles. The room was not big but clean with a King-size bed. But above all, their customer service was remarkable. They were very friendly and courteous (I guess because the owner and the management staff had changed). The hotel was also conveniently located to many tourist spots such as Hollywood and Santa Monica beach.

Anyone for Korean?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/07
The Garden Suites Hotel is a nice hotel, although I think it needs more dedicated management. The carpet in the hallways was dirty and stained, and, when I pointed out water leaking from the concrete ceiling of the underground garage, the security guard I showed it to simply said, "Sometimes it leaks." We found the room a bit on the small side, but he biggest problem we had was in understanding the staff, and making ourselves understood. Since they deal with a great deal of Korean clientele, most of the staff is Korean, and they understand/speak limited English. On the other hand, the Housekeeping staff is Hispanic, and, again, limited in English. The first night, I was surprised to find the bottom sheet on one of the two queen beds was much smaller than the mattress. After turning the sheet sideways, I was finally able to make it cover most of the top of the mattress, but still unable to tuck it in.

No Frills
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/07/07
This is a centrally located, clean no frills hotel. If it were for the small restaurant it would be properly classified as a motel. amenities are air conditioning. Heat in the reversible units doesn't work. You need to catch the housekeeper if you need more towels. Oh and don't both of you sit on the end of the bed it will tip. Otherwise a good value for your money.
