The worst Marriott you will ever stay in...

This hotel is currently under renovation, which was not disclosed to us when we booked. There was no operational fitness room and you had to deal with jackhammering and banging from the hotel lobby renovation from 9 am to 4 pm (This would be acceptable if you were out, but you could hear all of this noise in the hotel rooms and in the conference area, where we were located during the day.)
There is not much close by in terms of food for breakfast, so you don't eat or pay the $13 (including tax and tip) for the cheapest breakfast (bowl of cereal, fruit, coffee). The food was so-so, although for the price I was expecting a lot better (I only ate lunch and breakfast, so I can not speak of their dinner menu).
The front desk people charged my credit card twice for the room and that is still being sorted out. Also, we received a noise complaint which we are sure could not have come from my room since the tv was not even on, and we had returned from dinner 5 minutes prior to the manager appearing at our door at 10:30 p.m.
The rooms were okay, the beds comfortable, but you could hear the people in rooms next door and the construction in the lobby. The ATM charges $2.75 service fee, which I felt was too high, but they really have you trapped in this place unless you have a rental car.
This hotel is not worth $159/night, I have stayed at Days Inns that are nicer than this Marriott. This hotel did not even come close to meeting my expectation of a Marriott hotel. My recommendation is if you are going to a conference, stay somewhere else, and if you must stay at this hotel, make sure you have a rental car so you can leave to get breakfast, dinner, etc. Call and ask whether the construction is completed as well and if the fitness room is operational.
