CenterHotel Skjaldbreid, Reykjavik

This was a fab hotel in the best location you could ask for! We had an amazing holiday there and i would recommend this hotel to any young or old people on a mid range budget but who want a clean, friendly hotel. It is situated right in the main shopping street with quite a few bars close by so no need to walk too far in the cold to get a drink.Our room faced the street and didnt find it too noisy at all. We did come accross a few older Americans staying there( late 40s!) and who were moaning about noise level at 10 o clock at night I might add!.......I do not consider that an unreasonable hour to make a bit of noise when on holiday! Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a friendly, clean and centrally located hotel where your left to your own devises and who dont expect anyone to carry your luggage around!
