The Worst Marriott Ever
By Tom, 08/31/09
A pitiful hotel that I will never return to. The room was a musky mildew smelly place. The place seems really run down. It is an embarrassment to Marriott that their brand name is on this place.

A Filthy Pit!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/07
The front desk staff was rude & clueless. They didn't have the rooms we had booked and confirmed...3MONTHS PRIOR! When we did finally get the rooms (and not the ones we had reserved) they were absolutly filthy. Moldy "goo" in the bottom of the coffee pot, old food and beer inn the fridge, bed sheets had hairs all over them and my sister's bed had a dead bug under one of the pillows. My son's pull-out sofa bed a used condom hanging from one of the metal under bars and dont even get me strted about the bathrooms. We demanded to be be relocated to another room or at least have the ones we were in cleaned but were told (at 5:30pm) that they were completly booked up and the housekeeping staff had already left for the day. Needless to say we were out of there and stayed at the Courtyard down the street. Stay as far away from this place as you can!

Not what I expected from Marriott
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/05
After staying at a Springhill Suites by Marriott in Austin, Texas and being thoroughly pleased with the accomodations, service, etc., I decided to book my next vacation staying at Springhill Suites again. We stayed at the Springhill Suites in Arlington, Texas and boy were we sadly disappointed. The swimming pool is too little and the hot tub could accomodate about 2 people and that didn't even work. The ice machine was broke so we had to go to another floor to get ice. We started to pull the sofa out for an extra bed and you couldn't even do that because there wasn't enough room between that and the tv. The air conditioner was broke and the "remedy" for that by the staff was to put a fan beside the a/c so it wouldn't freeze up. The carpet was wet around the a/c. Other than that, along with having guests that rode up and down elevators constantly, kids running the halls till 2 in the morning, taking up the elevators from the other guests, everything else

Where is the GM??
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/05
I checked in and my room was not ready. Nothing big. I waited in the hotel lobby. There was a shift change and the new person who came on was not made aware of my waiting. I waited 1.5 hours and finally went and asked about the room. I was told the room was not ready. Huh? I asked to speak with the General Manager Ms Rogers who was not available. I finally got into my room and it was very... dingy. I left word with the GM to call me. She never did. The next morning I decided to check out and go to Towne Place Suites since it was the next closet Marriott type Hotel. That's another story! Oh I met the GM there! I had left my number for Ms Rogers to call me and guess what. I still hear the crickets chirping in the distance. Some way to treat a Platinum Rewards member. For someone who is always on property, she is never there or just always on the phone and does not want to talk to her guests. Sad....
