We stayed there in October, we usually stay a couple of times a year, but not sure if we will go back, the service and the atmosphere isn't there any more. For all that want to go, be careful, it is not what it used to be.

The review of 6/22/07 stated Darlings by the Sea was no longer there. I was in Kure Beach May 10th and drove right by. Maybe the reviewer just doesn't want anyone to know what a great place this is.

It WAS my favorite place on Kure Beach

I am sad to inform those that don't know that Darlings is no longer there. It was leveled and another place was put in it's place. It will surly be missed... I haven't seen Kip around so I'm not sure if they opened up another place or if he raised the up his sails and sailed off into the sunset...

A Truely Enjoyable Experience

My husband and I just visited Darlings By the Sea (DBTS) the second week in May and we absolutely loved it. Everything was wonderful; the atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the room. We slept in the most comfortable King size bed ever and had a spectacular view of the ocean. We will definelty be back. If anyone sees this and enjoys American-Italian food, please visit Freddies. It is located about 1 block from Darlings By The Sea. The food there is great, but try to get there around 5pm so you won't have a long wait. You will not be let Down if you stay at DBTS. Ohh, and you can also enjoy a wonderful bike ride compliments of DBTS. Enjoy, Billy and Melodie Craig, NC
