Hotel Sax Chicago, Chicago

Doorman was great! Conergie wasn't always accurate but friendly and they tried to be helpful. The reservation clerk was a little rude but he was new. Room service was great and so was the food-try their french toast with orange/banana topping, omg it was wonderful. They have a secret do not tell you about unless you meet the right employee. The one elevator to the left marked LL goes down and there is an ATM machine, go up the steps thru the double doors and tunnel (it's inside clean and safe) and turn to your left, there is a mini mart! If you go up the escalators you can get to one of the nice resturants and downtown Chicgo. The carpet, halls, and rooms are all clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. It's pricey but well worth it!Location is great!!! Near shopping, resturants, Chicago river, Buses, Trolley, Boat tours, Taxi, Entertainment and Night Clubs. We felt very safe there.

Just goit back from our first trip to chicago and it was a sweet trip and staying at the house of blues was cool! Everybody was so kind and helpful from the staff right down to the security people that help with parking out front.We are already talking about going back again and we will stay right in the same spot again. Close to sooo much and the walking to a lot of the neat things to see was fantastic. thanks again to all the people who work for the house of blues for being so helpful and kind!! Great way to spend our 30th ann.

I have stayed at this hotel twice and absolutely loved it both times. The staff is very friendly, very informative and a lot of fun. I will stay there everytime I'm in Chicago!

This was the most awful Chicago experience we have ever had. The room was the size of a closet (you could not get out of the bed without hitting the desk). The shower (no bathtub) flooded the bathroom when you used it and the worst part was that even on the 6th floor, you could hear everything outside as if the window was open. This was a nightmare and with how expensive it was, it was definately not worth it.

I got a nicely furnitured room with a very comfortable bed and bedding. It also has broad band internet connection in the room. However the TV set in the room needs some improvements.

Location and service, right in down town and next to the great HOB club, the rooms are great and the bathroom is owesome, I want to visit it every year at least

The hotel was very nice and clean. Employees were extremely hospitable. No coffee maker or refrigerator in the room though, which would really would have been appreciated. Excellent location.

With the recent change in management, I would think twice about this hotwl. While it is well located, the hotel refused to move me from a smoking room, offering to "ionize" it instead... wouldn't change pillows to foam and were pretty much a horrible hotel to deal with.

Very trendy style. Nice change from the stuffy flowered bedspread hotels....This hotel has Personality. Rooms were clean and colorful. Hotel itself was within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
