Hampton Inn & Suites Atlantic Beach, Pine Knoll Shores

it was very clean, great pool,great weight room,good breakfast every morning,friendly staff,great wireless internet and cable tv.

although the breakfast was good, the beds are like concrete, the pillows like pancakes, the pool tastes like sea water and the pictures and descriptions are not quite right on size of the rooms. the king suite i stayed in for my anniversary was incredibly small. i thought suites had a separate bedroom from living area. the tv was very large, but too close to everything to have a good picture. i will never stay there again. the girl at the desk was very charming and helpful.

We visited here twice in December 2008. It was convenient to relatives that we were visiting. They also allowed pets, which was a plus for us. We kept our dog in a portable kennel in the room when we were out. Never a problem. Cannot say enough for the great breakfast that we had on our first visit. The hotel was in a state of renovation but that was of no inconvenience to us. The work did not impede or bother us. We woke to a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean every morning. The constant sound of the surf was better than any sleep aid that you can buy. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Do not know why others had bad comments. We will be right here when we visit our relatives again. We were here on December 11th and 12th and then again on the 27th and 28th 2008. We enjoyed the area even in the winter time. Although many businesses were not open, there were numerous neighboring sights to visit, including a fantastic aquarium and wildlife sanctuary. We could have asked for a better place to spend our time.

When we checked in,the ladies at the front desk were rude. The hotel advertises as "pet friendly". I assumed that meant the whole hotel, but upon check-in,I was informed they only allow pets on the first floor and that they did not have a room available on the first floor. I was finally given a room on the fourth floor. Upon entering the room, we noticed the beds were extremely bowed in the middle, the internet did not work and neither did one of the phones.I felt like we were given the worst room in the hotel. We complained and were given a room on the first floor.Funny how they had a room on that floor after being told ten minutes earlier they didnt. Also, I thought the $25. a night for a pet was too high. Some of the better hotels don't charged that much. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the housekeeping staff was extremely nice and courteous.

My husband and I stayed here for five nights and had a wonderful time. The beach is right across the street. Price was great, too. We didn't feel crowded even though we stayed during the height of the summer. Our only complaints are that our bed sagged, and the hostess did not empty the trash in the breakfast area often enough--it overflowed and was quite gross to see during breakfast (the trash was located right near the table area.)

I stayed at the hotel on June 18, 2008. I have stayed there in the past but this is the first time I had the opportunity to meet with the owners of this hotel. The hotel was sold on June 18 and the new owners were there and acknowledged everyone in the breakfast area during breakfast. The overall hotel is very clean and they have complimentary amenities such as breakfast, fitness center, outdoor pool and wireless internet. I am glad I did not have to pay to use the internet and for breakfast, unlike my last stay at the Sheraton located across the street.

I have to laugh at the review below me. I am shocked at the coincidence, but I stayed there the same time 06-28,29 and 30. I found the hotel very clean, the staff was friendly. The breakfast was super. I guess maybe I am not as picky, but I came here to go to the beach, only downfall was I had to cross the street to get there, but I knew that coming in, and it wasnt a big deal. We had a blast here, and I will be coming back for sure. Give me a clean, quiet place to sleep, a decent breakfast, and I have no complaints. If they run out of towels, I'll use one over again.

We stayed only one night at this hotel. The front desk service was rather rude. The lady was rude on the phone during the initial reservation phone call and should have been addressed instead of overlooked. The room smelled bad. We went swimming around 8:00 that evening and when we asked for towels, we were told there were no more to give out. Sorry, too bad!!! Breakfast the next morning was running out of everything. The morning personnel was not friendly and the atmosphere was very displeasing. There was one gentleman who worked there, an older caucasion male that was very friendly. We were very happy to hear a simple good morning. Please do not misunderstand, we are not just nagging and complaining, we want to make sure that people are aware of this situation. We have to be really unsatisfied to file a complaint!

I liked this place alot. Well they let you have pets for a additional $10 per night. Anyeay they are so nice there, plus you get free buffet. I think the motel looks very beautiful in the lobby area the rooms are very nice and a pretty good size for the price. I would stay there agian.

We stayed here for a long weekend June 2005.... and had a wonderful time. The hotel is not your typical beach hotel..... it is VERY nice. The rooms are clean and very large. The morning breakfast was a wonderful treat... and coffee in the lobby 24 hours was great. The hotel is across the street from the beach, but still very close. We will be back.... in a few weeks! Pets are allowed.... we took our dog, she loved it too!!
