Surprisingly nice
By divalicious, 08/31/09
I didn't expect much from a Hampton Inn room that I acquired through an online hotel discounter service. Usually when you use that kind service, the hotel responds by sticking you in the cheapest or smallest room in the hotel. But this hotel didn't do that. We got a nice sized room with two double beds. The towels were plentiful and the duvets on the bed were comfy. We had one problem with the room and when we called down stairs, the front desk was most apologetic and got right on fixing it. I would definitely recommend this place for travellers.

Best Hotel in Erie
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/08
I liked everything except the somewhat noisy heating unit in the rooms. The staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable, the towels were plentiful, the rooms were spotlessly clean, the continental breakfast was amazing. See You Soon!!!!!

Great place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/07
This place was a breath of fresh air. The rooms were good sized and clean. The pool was heated, which was great for the kids. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was an above average continental style breakfast. Overall, I would stay here again with my family. The only downfall is the noise from the highway.

Finest

It is not very often I go out of my way to compliment a Hotel. However, in this case after staying here for nearly 3 months while working on an assignment I found when the time came I hated to leave. The entire staff from Manager down deserve at the very least a Thank You. This place should be used as a model for all Hampton Inns. Wayne Grove Bluffton, Indiana

Surprisingly Nice Motel
By markj, 10/19/06
Over the years, for whatever reason, I have frequently stayed at a Hampton Inn. I have never had a bad experience. This particular inn was exceptionally clean, especially the bathroom. The pool is rather small but very elegant. The exercise area is also small but appropriate and very acceptable for a small motel. My room was on the north end of the building and since it is right up against I-90 there was a fair amount of traffic noise which isn't a problem for me but if you had concerns you should request a room facing the front of the building. Otherwise the hotel was VERY quiet (even though I was very near the front desk and the ice/vending machines) and private! Location wise, it is right off of peach street and there are numerous resturants and fast food outlets. Also, the small local mall is closeby so the motel is close to the action. Splash Lagoon is almost in walking distance but I don't think the motel has any affiliation with the motel chains that run it (probably why the Hampton Inn is so quiet: very few teenage kids!). I thought that the morning buffet was very good and was probably the best I've had at a motel. It was VERY clean and well organized and had a good variety of food and every coffee choices. Also, staff was very courteous and cheerful. My only concerns would be that I thought it was a little pricey at $119/night. I think a more appropriate price would be $99-109 especially in October in Erie. But this was a business trip and will be picked up by the company. Overall, a great place to stay and I recommend Hampton Inn in general.

Great for Groups!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/06
I led a motorcoach of seniors to Erie for a weekend trip, and fortunately for everyone... we stayed at the Hampton South. The marketing person I worked with was excellent in all facets; the front desk personnel were the best I've ever dealt with; and the rooms were clean, comfy and quiet. The continental breakfast was nothing short of outstanding. We also had the use of a large, neat meeting room- at no extra cost! Overall, I would rate this the best hotel I've had the pleasure of staying in, in my six years of leading group tours.

Would visit again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/25/06
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I had a very comfortable sleep and in the morning was treated to a nice hot breakfast buffet. The hotel was a little hard to find. (I could see it but couldn't find the road to get to it.) I wish there had been an arrowed Hampton Inn sign at the entrance of Oliver Road. But, now that I know how to get to it, I will surely visit again.

Friendly Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/25/06
I liked the people at this hotel, they were very friendly and always willing to help. It is located near many restaurants with shopping galore and family recreation centers handy. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were very comfortable. I would definately stay here again!

Nice Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/05
Things were just done right, friendly staff, good breakfast, and nice clean rooms. We left another hotel for this place and had a much better experience.
