Galway Bay Hotel Con e Leisure, Salthill

Hotel charged "rack" rate. Check in was 1.5 hours late. Room was not air conditioned. Noise from amusment park continued until 10:45 PM.

Every thing about the place was great! We enjoyed the view from the patio looking out over the water, we walked on the beach and walked into town at night quite romantic. The food was delicious served in a fancy ballroom setting it was beyond our wildest dreams. A couple of pints at the pub was nice and we meet some fine people from your staff that were very friendly and helpfull with directions. Room was very comfortable and we had a view of the bay that we could look out day or night when we were in our room.

We stayed a couple nights here. The location has a wonderful view of the bay. I was lucky enough to have a room with the view. Bedrooms were clean and the beds are just to comfortable you don't want to get out of bed. The bathroom was clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and most helpful. The food was fine. The hotel pub was great and the live music was very enjoyable. The location is not great from town, but if you have a car or don't mind walking a ways it is fine. When we stayed there was a water issue, in which people were asked not to drink/use the tap water. They supplied everyone with bottled water and made sure everyone had enough. Now that is good service!! I would recommend this hotel and stay there again myself!

I really enjoyed the Galway Bay Hotel. It was a totally relaxing break with lovely food, exceptional service and great facilities. The restaurant is beautiful with amazing views over Galway Bay, I imagine it is spectacular during the summer with the beach and promenade on the doorstep. The bar is really interesting, modeled on an Irish pub but inside. Live music and a good crowd made it a great atmosphere. I woulf totally recommend this hotel and it will be my choice when I am next in Galway.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Galway Bay Hotel. It has a brilliant location, looking out over the beach and Galway Bay plus it it only a few minutes from the city centre or a nice walk along the prommenade. We went on a family break with 2 children, which is perfect as they have great children's facilities during school holidays. My Husband and I had a lovely peaceful dinner while the kids were in the camp- priceless. The bar was lovely for a few drinks in the evening too. We are regulars in Galway as it is a brilliant city and will be staying in ther Galway Bay again.
