Upside: Location of the hotel is great. Along the cobble stone streets, within the wall of the old city. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Nothing grand or spectacular. Breakfast I found to be average. Nice buffet style with a little for the taste of everyone. Eggs, rolls, sandwich meats, cheeses, jams and jellies, cereals, juices, fruits, etc, etc.
Downside: Over priced. Everything was over priced by over 100%. Bottle of water, 4Euros. 5 minute phone call, 40 euros. I felt like I was robbed when i left.
The biggest selling point in their advertisement for me because I was driving to Nurnberg was; (guests arriving by car will appreciate the underground garage available .)
It doesnt state that you need to make reservations for this amenity. Had it done so, I would have when I made my original reservations. I ended up parking 5 blocks away on the street side in an unsecured area. Was not happy!
Checked into hotel and was given a room on the 4th floor. Hotel elevator only goes to the 3rd floor. Had to carry all of our belongings from the car up the stairs to our room. More unhappy!
The reason I had chose this hotel was because it was in the city center and it had garage parking. By this time in my mind, I am paying $275 a night and my car is still parked out on a street 5 blocks away. I could have paid a lot less at another hotel and parked my car on the street. Honestly, for what they charge, you can find a lot better in the same area.
