staff very friendly and helpful. Malaysian VIPs throw their new found wealth around and smoke in the lobby and restaurants.

pure eastern delight

This hotel i have to say is one of the best i have ever stayed in - the rooms though not the biggest but the best equipped with a bathroom to die for. The greatest thing about this hotel, other than its exquisite food is the locale - situated right next to the twin towers (literally step out of the door and there you are in shoppers paradise. Breakfast is offered buffet style and what a breakfast it is - beautiful freshly baked breads, wonderfully fresh and delicious smoked salmon - ate so much almost swam out of the restaurant, you are literally spoilt for choice in the coffee house restaurant, all meals are open to non- residents and very very reasonably priced, you wont break the bank for mouth watering creations. The hotel itself is very grand but has a homely feel to it, being greeted by the elaborately dressed doormen you feel very welcome indeed. The pool is wonderful and the views are spectacular - iced water is brought around on a regular basis, the poolside service is excellent and the staff very friendly. All in all I and my friends love this hotel and cant wait to go back to KL and stay there again.

Review of MO

it is very convenient as it is sitting right at the prime location of Kuala Lumpur. People are friendly but the car park could use some cleanup on the smell, especially the waiting area of the lifts from car park to lobby. It stink a lot!! probably due to clog drainage system.

Less than expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/2/06
I went with my wife to Kuala Lumpur for our honeymoon and I chose this hotel to stay at but I was shocked because the people who were working in this hotel were avaricious. For example, when we were coming back every night to our sweet we were finding our that lot of things were missing specially in the minibar whether we were putting a tip or not which indicates that the people who are serving are either careless or lazy. In addition, the movies that they were offering were old,; four years old. One of the funny things that I pass through in this hotel with my wife is that we went once to the concierge, but we didnt find him. We just found a billman who doesnt know anything. One of the strange things is that the other concierges were unaware of good places to visit; we were getting those information from taxis or shopping sellers. Can you believe that! The only amazing thing that I must mention is the location of the hotel because it is surrounded by lot of great places specially the twin tower and the lounge.

Simply the best in Asia Pacific Rim
By KeaT, 9/26/05
Located just beside one of the higest skyscraper in the world, Kuala Lumpur Petronas Twin Towers and the newly built Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. Strategically on the Golden Triangle of the heart of Kuala Lumpur City. Major tourism attractions just within walking distance. Each room is well-designed with integration of local multi-culturals touched with fine tropical woods, elegance of classic and contemporary Asian overtones. Impressive service and services, in parellel to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group's competitive advantage. Hotel rooms are designed to accomodate needs of different customer categories, from business, leisure or family trip. With award winning restaurants, louges and bars all under one roof, making Mandarin Oriental undoubtly one of the finest and most luxurious hotel in Pacific Rim.
