enjoyable experience....
By Julian, 12/9/06
This hotel is located next to the Petronas Twin Towers. We booked into a Premium City View Twin Room, in January this year for 2 nights. If I'm not mistaken we got the 17th floor or so could be higher. The backdrop of your window is the stunning twin towers. The room size is pretty average. Bathroom size is also pretty average too with separate shower and bathtub. The bathroom is also equipped with speakers that linked to the TV which is kinda kool. Excellent amenities in room too. We enjoyed a couple of beers sitting in our room while waiting for the towers to light up :p Service is sort of excellent. I am an asian travelling with a caucasian friend. In a way i felt that i was left out. Room service wasnt too bad when we order some food in the afternoon. Excellent food. Location of the hotel is quite central, i would say. Easy access to the next door shopping haven; Suria KLCC, with lots of brand names in there; Gucci, Prada etc. 5 mins taxi ride to Bintang Walk or Chinatwon. So it's not too bad. Facilities; swimming pool is kinda small, but hey it's a city/businees hotel not a resort, so it's understandable. But with the infinity view and the view of KL skyline, it does help to override the small pool. Our room rate includes b'fast and lots of varieties too, which is excellent. Pricey? Not overly, i think it's a pretty average for a luxury brand like this. Overall, it's an enjoyable experience and i am returning in Feb 2007.

Great location for business & pleasure
By Valerie, 8/23/06
Mandarin Oriental KL is located next to the PETRONAS Twin Towers and surrounded by other office building and the "happening" places in KL. Rooms are of good size and the beds are pretty comfotable. The staff are trained to be polite and greet whenever they meet guests. Good central location, easy access via road, LRT (KLCC stop) & walking distance to many attractions

Best Hotel in KL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/06
Stayed for 2 nights in June 2006. All staff were very attentive, nice and charming. Upon arrival, the fabulous staff received me and were very efficient. Check-in went smoothly. A front desk member escorted me to my room and guided me around. Very nice! Room was very large and had a nice view over the Petronas twin towers. The bed was comfortable and very good. There were coffee/tea facilities in the room. The beautiful marble bathroom had a seperate bathtub and showerstall. Hotel food was excellent and well prepared too! The hotel is next to the Petronas Towers and the fabulous KLCC.Would like to recommend this outstanding hotel to everyone!

Less than expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/2/06
I went with my wife to Kuala Lumpur for our honeymoon and I chose this hotel to stay at but I was shocked because the people who were working in this hotel were avaricious. For example, when we were coming back every night to our sweet we were finding our that lot of things were missing specially in the minibar whether we were putting a tip or not which indicates that the people who are serving are either careless or lazy. In addition, the movies that they were offering were old,; four years old. One of the funny things that I pass through in this hotel with my wife is that we went once to the concierge, but we didnt find him. We just found a billman who doesnt know anything. One of the strange things is that the other concierges were unaware of good places to visit; we were getting those information from taxis or shopping sellers. Can you believe that! The only amazing thing that I must mention is the location of the hotel because it is surrounded by lot of great places specially the twin tower and the lounge.
