One of the best Holiday Inn Express hotels
This is a fantastic place to stay! I was here for two nights in May, 2007. It is by far one of the nicest and cleanest HI Express hotels that I've ever stayed in. At check-in, the gal was very warm and welcoming. The room was very big, modern, super clean, and just great. I was suprised to see a huge flat panel high-definition TV in the room. Not a big boxy TV with a flat screen, but a true flat panel HDTV! The hotel does not subscribe to HDTV channels, but still, they do subscribe to everything available in regular definition.
There is a nice indoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna (dry heat) in the hotel that is open 24 hours a day. Just use your room key to access the facilities. The breakfast every morning is great, and they offered more options than I've encountered at other HI Express chains. Their "local specialty" changed each day, and included pancakes and eggs!
The hotel is located in an area that looks like it's undergoing some changes. Next door is a closed gas station with a chain-link fence around it, and I'm assuming this will be someday be rebuilt. It looks like the garage was burned in a fire recently. Across the street you will see a "Casino" sign, but there is no casino there. There are casinos in the area that have card games, but for a "real" casino you will need to take a taxi about 15 minutes away to the big Indian casino. I forget the name, but it's a huge place. Also in the area of the hotel is a Denny's across the street. There are also a few "mom and pop" type of restaurants within a 30 second walking distance of the hotel, but no major fast-food restaurants around.
I highly recommend this hotel. Fantastic place to stay!
