The Plaza Hotel, Dublin

Just remember looks aren't everything. Not much to look at from the outside but nice on the inside. Efficient and friendly staff, excellent breakfast in a relaxed dining area. Hotel was very clean. Positioned a good 25 minutes by tram from Dublin, but the trams were so frequent this wasn't a problem. Shopping centre close by,disco/bar on site - not a lot else in surrounding area (except fast food outlets). Enjoyable stay, would definitely call again.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel in late November.It was a first class experience.Most of the staff were extremely helpful.The reception staff were great.Only down point was a membner of staff from the 1st floor bar was not up to the standard of the hotel.Otherwise everyone was superb. Our comfortable and spacious room was superb and cleaned thoroughly daily.We never had dinner in the hotel but we had breakfast and the choice was first class.Hotel had parking which was a secure underground carpark. There was a good shopping centre accross the road and there was a cinema within that complex.There was a good tram service that left the shopping centre every 5 mins and took you into Dublin city centre in about 30 mins.This was a great hotel and I would recommend its use to anyone thinking about going to South Dublin.We will certainly be back.* * * * *

I have stayed @ the Plaza now every 8/10 weeks, for the last 5 yrs,the rooms make you feel like your @ home,you have a choice of where you would like to eat, the food is brilliant,all the staff are fantastic so friendly and make you feel welcome,(They should get a pay rise), really they are great,most know me now by name, i wouldnt want to stay anywhere else, im moveing over soon to live with my partner so bye bye uk, hello Dublin, but anyway the plaza is the Hotel to go to when in Dublin. i will recomend it to anybody. see you in 6 weeks the plaza.
