By Angelfire, 2/24/12
I love this hotel! It is very neat, clean, and the staff is very nice. It is in good distance to the medical center, food places, and several other attractions. If you need a nice and classy place to stay, this is t.

Pet Friendly, Great for Dog Lovers
By Jennifer, 9/15/11
I stayed there recently with my three Schnauzers and it was great. They charged me only $10 per night extra for the dogs (for all three of them). They have an area out back to walk the dogs, and even provide the bags for cleaning up after the dogs. They have free laundry, free movie rentals, a full kitchen, next to an excellent steak restaurant ... I like that the air conditioning units are loud because they helps cover any noises my dogs made (and you know Schnauzers--they tend to be barky). I'll be back. They have an excellent pet policy (from what I've seen compared to other hotels, and I searched long and hard for pet friendly hotels). Check out their pet policy at their website for more about it. I'm slightly hesitant to post this review because I want them to keep availability for my doggies and me :-)

Candlewood-quo
By jack, 2/27/08
It's everything you expect from an average Candlewood. Nothing of exception to note, escept maybe there are three different resteraunts right accross the drive (walking distance) one of which is a Pappasitos (?) they have a great bar and nice staff. I write a review only because: There is construction at the beltway/10 interchange right there and this construction makes moving around slightly difficult and time consuming. There are 2 other Candlewoods in the immidiete area. The Candlewood that is about 2 miles further south on beltway 8, near the beltway and 59. Is the next one I stayed at, I enjoyed the ease of navigating around this hotel.

It was homey and comfy
By Marie, 8/27/07
I really really loved this hotel!!!!it was almost like living at your own home! It was very spacious and had its own kitchen (with dishes and pots and pans i might add) and the high speed internet. Oh...who else rents movies in their hotels??? this one does.... But.the only bad thing was it didnt have a swimming pool.... I truly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Nice place to return to
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/9/06
Nothing fancy but then we are not...the people were friendly...the room was clean & stocked...the high speed internet was helpful...the bed was comfortable...the staff was almost invisible unless you needed then they went out of their way...it was almost like home away from home...only problems were the door would not lock which was fixed promptly and the coffee pot was out and a new one was there in a flash...the only thing they could not fix was the construction on the beltway and I 10...but showed us how to get around that easily.

Great amenities, comfy bed, good service
By VJE, 3/20/06
We were there only for a night so we didn't use the full size fridge, sink, dishwasher, 2-eyed stove, microwave, dishes or VCR (with movies to check out), but it was a nice, clean room, very comfortable bed and pillows. The staff were very helpful in offering direction and information. Great area for restaurants and shopping although road construction in the area was a little hectic. I would definitely stay again when I return to Houston.

Excellent stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/17/06
If you're looking for a chocolate on your pillow and your bed ready to crawl into... this is not for you. If you're looking for a quiet, modern, clean, nicely kept place, this is the place for you. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In one case a staff member who offered directions was better than Mapquest!! The beds are comfortable (and this is coming from someone who has had two spinal surgeries) and the kitchenette was very handy. The "Cupboard" was well stocked and based on the honor system. The prices for different food items were extremely reasonable. This would a great place to stay for families. Free use of laundry facilities are a plus. Maybe the only drawback for families would be no swimming pool. Great restaurants are within walking distance. We highly recommend staying here.

All the luxuries of home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/05
This place was like having a 1 bedroom apartment, with a kitchen, and it cost so much less than you average hotel. Free washer and dryer. Full kitchen. Seperate bedroom. They even have VCR's with movie rentals at the front desk!

Decent hotel
By Kevin, 5/17/05
This is a decent hotel if you are looking for value for your money. They provide free use of washer/dryer and has a pantry stacked with food items. Stayed at the hotel for 6 days so the washer/dryer service was really convenient for me. If you plan on going to downtown or the galleria area, best to look for another hotel. The hotel is situated along I-10/Katy which is a very clogged highway.
