Horrible Customer Service & Unreliable WiFi!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/13/09
I don't recommend anyone staying here, unless they don't intend to use the Internet and don't value customer service.
Don't be pulled in by the "free WiFi." There are stipulations for this that they don't let you know up front. If you download ANYTHING, including emails from a secure server (for work), you will apparently be taking up the entire hotel's bandwith and you will therefore be kicked off without notice. Not only that, when you call the front desk for help, they will give you a number for tech support to goodness knows where, and have you deal with it yourself. Yes, I thought it was absurd.
It was so absurd that I was very upset, as to be expected. Unfortunately, instead of explaining to me the situation, the Assistant Manager, Robert, chose to get defensive. His defensiveness then escalated into him threatening to kick us out! He did call back to apologize and give a full explanation, but it really should have never been taken that far. I personally have never had anyone treat me this way, and I really think he should be placed somewhere else that doesn't involve interacting with guests. Honestly, I think he should be fired, but I am attempting to be reasonable here.
I have contacted the corporate office to let them know these issues, and hope that in the future they plan to accommodate their guests much better than they did for me. I won't ever be going back.
I really don't recommend anyone going there, regardless of the price and location. There's a La Quinta right up the street that is much more friendly and comfortable!
