Catoctin Inn and Conference Center, Buckeystown

What a great time we had this past weekend at the Catoctin Inn Resort and Spa! We checked into our deluxe room accommodations which have a double jaccuzi tub and gas fireplace. Next we walked up to the main inn and dined at Quills, which is a wonderful colonial style restaurant. Although the food is elegant, the atmosphere is casual and relaxing! Our dinner was delicious!!! I had the "One if by Land, Two if by Sea" which was a delicious filet mignon served with a lobster tail and grilled shrimp...unbelievably yummy!!! The next morning after a great night's sleep and a huge country breakfast (which was included in the price of the room), we enjoyed one of the best massages we've ever had. The staff as very attentive, but not pushy! All in all we had a very romantic and relaxing weekend and are looking forward to returning as soon as possible! Enjoy!!

Some rooms are in the historic inn while others seem to like a modern quicky hotel out back. Not clean enough for me inside or out. Old, historic, quaint are all wonderful. Shabby, worn and retro fitted....Pass!

What a beautiful setting for a romantic getaway! The Catoctin Inn & Resort has recently been purchased by new owners and is in the process of being totally revamped! Not only did we have a great meal at Quills at The Catoctin which was recently opened (a fine dining colonial restaurant complete with costumed servers), but a full service day spa is in the process of being added (we can't wait).
