Great place to stay

We just returned from Orlando where we stayed at the Sierra Suites LBV from May 12,2004-May 18, 2004. Having booked the room through internet searches, I wasn't sure what to expect considering we only paid $65/night. The room was very clean and spacious. We had a king suite with a sofa bed and a kitchenette. The kitchen was equipped well. The pool area was very clean and well kept. The front desk clerks were very friendly and well informed. The free breakfast was OK but there was not a lot of choices. They had 3 kinds of cereal, 3 kinds of juice, a variety of muffins, bagels, oatmeal, and coffee. But it was free and the food was fresh. The only slight disappointment I had was the free shuttle. We had our 5 year old and 3 year with us so the shuttle schedule was not convenient. It departed at around 8, 10, and 12 each morning and dropped off at Epcot. From there, you had to use the Disney transportation service to get wherever else you might want to go. The pick-up times were at 6,8, and 10. Considering that the Cinderella fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom doesn't start until 9:00 and it takes a good 45 minutes to get back to Epcot via the ferry/monorail, there was no way we could have made it back to the pickup area in time. We only took the shuttle one day and the rest of the time we drove our own vehicle and paid for parking. With small children in tow, it really is more convenient to have your car there so that you can leave when they get tired rather than waiting for the shuttle. We also used the high speed internet. Other than the shuttle being a little disappointing, I was very very pleased with Sierra Suites. We will definitely stay there on future trips to Orlando. This was our first time to NOT stay in one of the Disney resorts and a room as nice as this one would have cost probably twice as much at a Disney resort.
