Holiday Resort & Spa Guam, Barrigada

It has been a couple of years since I stayed here last but I am looking forward to my return in April. the facilities are neat and clean. It is quiet and has all the necessary ammenities. It is also in walking distance to many resteraunts in the downtown area.

We stayed at Holiday Resort from Dec 6-8 2006 and was disappointed with the hotel. We chose this hotel only because Marriott Hotel was full during that period. Upon check-in at 5:50 a.m., the Western receptionist kept telling us the hotel was full and could not offer us early check-in. When we told her we paid for early check-in, she checked again and gave us the room without an apology or even a smile on her face. The rooms were really worn out, water taps were rusty and in one room, our beds only have bed sheet and then the bed cover, not even a single blanket was provided. In one room, there were 2 bottles of water in the refrigerator. When we checked whether the water was complimentary, the reply was positive. However, in another room, there was no water and when we checked with the front desk, they said there was no complimentary water. At the buffet breakfast, we found traces of food at the bottom of the stack of dishes. Anyway, we found the Japanese receptionists and another male trainee more helpful during the day shift. Location of the hotel is very convenient both for the beach and for downtown shopping. L Chan, Hong Kong
