Wonderful and Personable B&B
Service was excellent, the rooms were beautiful, clean and interesting. The breakfast was very good (an interesting variation of eggs benedict with unusual poppyseed waffles and fresh fruit cup). Good coffee, too, and complementary wine and cheese in the afternoon. The Shadyside location is also wonderful, conveniently close to Walnut Street, with interesting shops and restaurants, and it's on the bus route to Carnegie Mellon and Univ of Pittsburgh. The taxi ride to the universities is also short and inexpensive. The only disadvantage is that one building has no elevator, though it does have handicap accessible rooms on the first floor.
Be sure to read the journal, with a record of many of the people who have stayed at the inn for the last 8 years!
