Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/09
Over priced - $170 a night, sheets worn and torn, carpet dirty, mattress so worn I really didn't want to lay on it, but we had no other choice. A room can be worn, but no excuse for dirt.

Not worth the $$$
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/09
For $150.00 I would expect much better. At the very least the normal ammentities. Coffee machine in room was dirty when I checked in and after 3 nights still hadn't been cleaned, it was left the way I left it-filter basket laying out and old coffee still in the decanter. YUCK! No iron/board in the room-have to go to a 'Guest Laundry' room to iron your clothes. No little plastic laundry bag even to take my dirty clothes home in. The rooms are dated-bathroom was icky. I am pretty sure all house keeping did everymorning was fix my bed-didn't wipe down anything or replace shampoos. Did I mention the coffee pot sat dirty for 3 days and never had coffee packets replaced? I had heard that in the peak of the season they charge $235/night here, I was shocked that they can get away with it. But hey-they got HBO!!! Will never stay here again!!!! Would rather drive 15minutes East and stay at the Trappers Inn in Belfield.

Turning into a dump!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/07
5-10 years ago this was a wonderful place to stay. It's deteriorated badly. In June 2007 we stayed for 2 nights. We checked in at 6 pm to a suite we had reserved ($160/nite). The bathroom was filthy - urine on the toilet/floor; dirt/hair everywhere; filthy tub/shower curtain. Microwave covered with food. We asked for another room - none available. We asked for housekeeping - not available till the next day. We asked the manager to check it - she was too busy. So we spent an hour trying to clean things up. We asked for a partial refund - none available. We would have checked out but Medora has limited alternatives. We send refund request to AmericInn - they forwarded to Medora AmericInn. 8 weeks later we've heard absolutely nothing from Medora AmericInn.

I liked it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/06
The people at this motel are very friendly and try to make you feel at home. Yes, there are issues - such as the railroad tracks and the hot tub was out of order when we stayed. But all in all it is a beautiful place any time of year. Perfect in summer if you like a lot of activity. Quiet and peaceful in the winter!

Avoid this hotel
By MartinY, 07/12/05
The prices were high ($150 for a room), there was no hot water and the staff was unhelpful. Will never stay there again.

Making Reservations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/04
In an attempt to make group reservations, we were quoted two different prices within ten minutes of each other, one $40 higher than the other. For three nights in a row, the rate would be different for each night. They are also much higher than other motels in the same area, by at least $50.
