Nice suite hotel: Excellent for the price

Nice suite-style hotel at extremely reasonable rates: less expensive than lower-quality non-suite hotels in the area. Free breakfast *and* free dinner! Ample space, perfectly reasonable ammenities, clean, free wifi, nice staff. Good location: you can walk to a couple restaurants/shops; easy access to Silicon Valley destinations. Definitely will return.

Great location

The Hotel is situated in a great location. The rooms are perfect and relaxing.Good breakfast and dinner.The bathroom amenities and quality soaps were a nice touch.

EXCEED EXPECTATIONS

This is a great place to stay!! We stayed at the Hawthorn Suites this past week while attending a wedding in Sunnyvale. We had booked five rooms in this hotel because of the reviews on Trip advisor, and really enjoyed our experience. All the rooms were very well furnished, and we love the large king beds and sofa sleeper in the rooms. My 14 year old son was able sleep comfortably in the sofa bed. This Hotel was in an easily accessible, convenient location. The hot breakfast was a great start to each day and the front desk staff was very attentive and friendly. The hotel has security camera in the corridors and took away the fear of letting the kids playing out of the room late evenings. Very clean and a safe hotel. Thank you, Hawthorn Suites for a wonderful stay!

Loved the Hawthorn Suites

We spent 3 nights in the Hawthorn Suites, and this hotel was the best hotel we stayed in our family trip from Gresham, OR to San Francisco, CA. We decided to stay in this hotel because the room rate was so reasonable compare to San Francisco hotels. The rooms were newly renovated, clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Free breakfast and evening dinner saved us nearly $100 per day. This hotel both the meals were very good. We used the hotel shuttle service to the Great America Park. The Staff's were very friendly and very helpful. Overall we were very impressed with the entire service.

UNSAFE! Do NOT stay at this hotel!

The 2nd floor security door is disabled with duct tape, which gives complete access to anyone to the entire hotel through the stairways. When I tried to have this problem rectified, the staff was uninformed and untrained, and did not address the issue at all. I attempted to resolve this with the general manager, but he was not there, and the staff did not know how to spell or pronounce his name. I had them find out, and his return call to me said that it was because of 'renovations'. Functioning security doors are a minimum expectation at any decent hotel, and the staff at this one seems to regard it lightly. Since many families stay here, I would not recommend staying here as it is a high safety risk.

A nice hotel

Recently I stayed at this location. the rooms are newly remodeled. A very clean hotel. The morning hot breakfast was so good, I like the make your own Waffle. I Will keep coming back to this hotel, whenever I am in this area.

decent, but cheap

This was a decent hotel, but had a real cheap feel; more like a motel. I loved the breakfast in the morning (so did the kids!), but was much less impressed by the fitness facilities. The staff were nice and friendly. Not a place I would seek out again.

Disappointed

I was very disappointed with the hotel. For one thing, they hiked the rates on me. I also don't like to stay in hotels with dirty carpets, and this one was very dirty. It had stains all over it! We checked out after one night and found another hotel that had 50 times more class, and was cheaper to boot!
