Horrible Choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/22/10
We've stayed at Sleep Inn a number of times and have been satisfied. This trip however was a disaster! Hotel management failed to control their guests. We were in a room next to the pool and an outdoor patio. Loud and vulgar drunken shouting and screaming past 3:00 AM. Banging doors, screaming kids (yes, at 3AM) Front Desk simply gave up, cops were called and the crowd's answer was, "We paid our money." Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad night!

Kept awake until 2p,m.
By movin.on. up, 3/11/07
It was my 56th birthday. We are from Northern Michigan and decided to come to the city and shop. We have been Choice Privileges members and are AARP members so we try to stay at one of their group of motels. This is one of the few times we have been disappointed. We were given a OK room by the stairwell. BAD! Kids ran the halls up and down until about 2. Most likely their parents came home from the Bars then. We tried to go to the hot tub area by the pool. No way it was full of kids. Capacity is only four over a dozen kids in. We were the only adults there. Also our coffee pot did not work the first morning. We wrote the cleaning person a note. Got one back...problem taken care of. The way it was taken care of was they took the coffee pot and it was not replaced. I guess if there is no coffee pot there is not problem. Screaming, running, ice water fights, knocking on doors and more. Not a good night. This may be a good place if you want your kids to join in. NOT if you want peace, relaxation and a mini vacation.

It's a LAW
By Jeremy, 10/22/06
Pro: Great location to shopping and entertainment Con: When we go to our room my husband noticed that where the smoke detector should have been on the ceiling that there were only wires hanging out! When I called the front desk the man argued with me about the chances of the hotel having a fire and told me that the chance was about as good as getting hit by lighting! I never got a somke detector and was never given an form of discount. Oh and the floor in the room and the tv had about a inch of dust on it. I would not ever stay at this hotel again!

Cold Pool
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/21/06
Pros- Great service, friendly staff, great location. Cons- Traveled there to swim with the kids and the pool was too cold for comfort. Staff said it is always that temp.

1 am wake-up
By upnorthfamily, 10/10/05
We have stayed at this hotel before, and have always been quite happy with it. This trip, however, was quite a different story. We were awakened at 1am by someone trying to get into our room. We thought it was just someone getting the wrong door when it stopped. A few minutes later, we heard it again and went to the door. The man trying to get in said that the clerk had rented him this room and that when he couldn't get in the first time (I had the secutity lock engaged, she rekeyed hi card!! When I called the desk, she apologized. An apology was all that I got from the manager the next morning, too. I thought they would at least offer us a free upgrade on our next stay- if there is a next stay.

Its excellent when 1/2 full !!
By Nischal, 5/24/05
Likings : Its set in a prime locality with access to main street , shopping places and all the good places to eat , yet is very quiet and rooms have a lot of privacy. The speaking parrot in the lobby is a treat to watch. Free internet has good speed. Dislike : The management and cleanliness goes a lot haywire when running full house. Dont be surprised if rooms are not well done and breakfast disappears by 9 a.m.

Had fun - hope you did, also
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/18/04
I like the manger's reception at 5 Pm and the free breakfast each morning. The pool and hot tub are great and the rooms are clean. Service is friendly. I have stayed there perhaps 15 times.
