Extended Stay America Milwaukee-Wauwatosa, Wauwatosa

We were told that check-in was at 3:00. We arrived at 3:30. Check in was extremely slow. I arrived at 3:30 to check in and was told that only the smoking rooms had been cleaned and it would take another 15 minutes to clean the non-smoking room. After waiting at least an hour and a half, still no room. My family waited in the lobby as the manager continued to tell us just another 15 minutes. We waited in the small lobby for over an hour and a half for a single queen non-smoking room. They did offer us a coupon for a free stay at a different time but would not offer a free room that night for the inconvience. Another guest was waiting for a different room as their first room had no working phone and had an odor. They were still waiting for their room after 6:00 (as we saw them at Denny's) The rooms were ok. They had a nice kitchen. Only one pillow per person and the bed was extra hard. I would not recommend staying here.

Staff was friendly, and lobby looked decent. Room was extremely dirty! No hairdryers in room. Kitchenette was nice feature, except it was very dirty. Cups and plates provided were stained and no dishsoap to wash them. Very basic with no extras, which you expect at an extended stay. Taxi service in this city is TERRIBLE. Call at least 2 hours in advance, and have directions in hand for your driver.
