world's best hampton inn?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/27/07
I needed a place to stay while on a long drive, not knowing a thing about lexington and landing in town late at night by chance, without a reservation. I expected the normal hampton inn (a decent but synthetic stucco box next to the interstate) and when I pulled up the landscaped drive towards the mansion, I assumed that I had driven into the wrong area. I was very pleasantly surprised. also the main accomodation section of the hotel wasn't just a 1990's box with an antique facade, but a better quality building in itself.
I agree with the other reviewers - aside from the location's architectural charm, it's a very well run operation.
